Elephone S7 BRICKED CAN ACCESS SMART PHONE FLASH TOOL - Elephone S7 Questions & Answers

So I accidentally clicked 'Format All + Download' within Smart Phone Flash Tool, which caused my bootloader to also be formatted.
Does anyone have a stock bootloader image of the Elephone s7?
I'm currently trying to flash the one I've found on their official website:
Can't put this link due to me being a new user but "elephone DOT hk SLASH downloads"
But that doesn't seem to contain the bootloader file.
My phone does allow me to 'flash' using the Smart Phone Flash Tool.
Any help will be appreciated.
Many thanks

Up
I am in the same situation
Spflashtool allow me to flash the latest version (S7_4G_20170814163417_v2.4) from official website ]www_elephone_hk/downloads
but no reaction from the phone after flashing
I thought that the file contains bootloader
Do you think that there could be an impcompatibility between flashed rom + bootloader and version ?
I think I have a Elephone s7 helios X25 does this match with S7_4G_20170814163417_v2.4 ? or is there another rom

Hii, friends,
Is it possible to use the stock recovery 1.90.709.3 instead of 1.90.707.3 ??
If no, where can I find the stock recovery 1.90.707.3 ?
My phone bought from Malasia (but "Made is Taiwan" printed on the box) Model is HTC One M9 Plus...mid is: 0PK71000 and cid HTC__044
I'm afraid I flashed unsuitable twrp to my phone (TWRP 3.0.0-0 hima.img) and phone is stuck on the recovery mode at each time. This is why I think, I have to flash stock recovery again then flash the the uppropriate twrp.(If I find )

Rom has 5 parts, 1) main android os 2)Modem: it controls radios of your phone 3)bootloader: it supports booting up the phone, flashing *official* firmware , it will decide if a upgrade/downgrade is compatible basically works like BIOS but note that it will let you install only official versions of android signed by samsung, samsung official firmwares can be downloaded from website called sammobile, after you have downloaded a firmware in your pc it will be in the form of zip file, when you extract that file you will get a file in the form of .tar.md5 format if this file is extracted again then it will split up in parts like bootloader, recovery etc but you don't need to extract it again just flash the .tar.md5 file to Flash samsungs official firmware in order to do this you will have to enter bootloader's download mode on your phone this is done by turning off the phone then pressing volume down+power button+homekey on your phone the phone will boot into download mode will ask you to confirm firmware installation by pressing volume up key, *BUT* remember the downloaded firmware file is still in your pc so now to transfer and install it in your phone you will need a Pc software called "odin" just google "odin xda" and you will find download links, after installing and opening odin you will see it has 4 options BL, AP, CP,CSC (these are the rom parts i told you about you click BL and it will ask you to locate the bootloader you want to flash on your phone, click CSC it will ask you to locate the csc file you want to flash) but since we did not further extract our downloaded firmware we don't need to locate and flash these different parts manually if we just click "AP" and locate the downloaded .tar.md5 file it will automatically flash the whole firmware along with its bl,csc,cp and ap NOTE: First you have to put your phone in download mode then you have to connect it to your pc via cable and open Odin it will intimate you with a green box saying "connected " then you can go ahead and flash ur firmware 4)csc: this is country specific code, it enables/disables functions in the phone for eg the Samsung android firmware released in uk will hve its own csc and minor functions...and a firmware released in france will have its own csc and minor differences. 5) Recovery, this lets you clear cache, do factory reset etc in most samsung phones recovery can be accessed by shutting down phone and then pressing volume up+power button+home button at the same time and phone will boot into recovery mode. There is just an overview on how to flash different versions of "official samsung" firmwares on your phone before learning how to flash custom firmwares i suggest you learn how to flash stock firmwares first ( incase the custom os messes something up in your phone you will be able to get back to official software) There are many videos on youtube demonstrating how to flash official firmware via odin first watch a few videos on youtube before performing this.
NEXT: CUSTOM OS
Custom Roms like (stock android rom which is known as "cm" ) can not be flashed via Download mode which i talked about earlier in order to flash a custom rom you will need a custom recovery the official samsung recovery was limited to clearing caches, doing factory reset etc but these custom recoveries like TWRP, CWM have additional functionality which lets you flash custom roms (without entering and going through download mode) so in order to flash a custom rom you will have to download the custom recovery (i recommend twrp) for your phone's model from twrp.me (be careful install the one which is specific to your model or you could brick your phone) just download the recovery file in your pc, when you go to downloads section of twrp it will ask you to choose the format in which u want to download the recovery just download the one ending with .tar . Now to install this custom recovery in your phone, put your phone in download mode and connect with your pc and open odin, select "AP" option and locate the downloaded .tar recovery file and flash it. Now when you have flashed this recovery if you go to recovery mode (VOLUME UP + POWER + MENU while phone is off) you will see a different recovery than samsung's stock recovery.....this one will have many additional functions and options . At this point don't do anything just reboot your phone. Now that we have a custom recovery we can go ahead with downloading and flashing a custom rom to install a custom ROM follow the below instructions
> download the custom os u want to install (CM in your case) and place it in your phone's sd card, boot into recovery mode choose the option "install" it will ask you to locate the file, select the downloaded rom file and it will flash it. TADA...you will now have the custom rom running on your phone NOTE : again this is just an overview i suggest you watch videos on youtube and do alot more reading before doing this.
Very nice. I am in the same boat.
Coming from a Nexus 5 where we had android M and Flemental X which allowed for under volting and over clocking of both the CPU and GPU.
I want to root my 9100c which is on 5.1.1 but have some doubts about this complete Knox issue.
Still looking for good info on Knox. I dont care about my warranty. But what if Samsung releases an update say android M and it says you cant update because your knox is triped. ?
What are the best kernels for over clocking and under volting on the 9100c for the Nexus you could go with Franko or Elemental X on the stock Rom and you got everything you need.
Anything like that for the Note 4 ?.
Id like to keep the stock ROM, Root it and be able to under volt and over clock. Pls advise.
Huh this threads be merged or moved so not sure what happened to my reply but massive thanks for that explanation it helps a lot, I finally delved in today, its simpler than I thought but its also easy to make mistakes, I got a bit in over my head and almost bricked my note , and have learned it the hard way how to do some things, I thought there was only rom and root ^ and thats why I borked it mucking up kernels, and all sorts to the point I could only get into download menu, however now have a better understanding off it, and with a fellow member help I have restored my phone to stock, and will be installing CM13 from there.
Thanks again.

Help recovering data

So I have a friend who decided to mess with his phone, of course without doing a backup, and now he's stuck in a situation that it can't boot even into recovery.
Currently all I see when booting to recovery:
Recovery Booting. . . . .
Set Warranty Bit : recovery
The phone is G900F
He has no idea what version was installed on it before.
I don't need the phone to boot, I need to recover the files on it.
Being a oneplus person myself, I'm not that familiar with samsung phones (my latest samsung was s2).
I've tried to install with odin (3.0.7 - if that matters) the following recoveries:
official twrp 2.8.7
twrp
cwm
All these recoveries showed "Recovery is not seandroid enforcing" message as well as the above when trying to boot into recoveries.
I've tried the official recovery as well:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/sm-g900f-stock-recovery-5-0-lollipop-t3228871
which removed the "seandroid" message, but that's all.
Not sure what I'm missing.
Any help would be appreciated!

Hmm...
I see that your friend messed up his phone very well .....
Hopefully the eMMC memory is not corrupted becuase then only motherboard replacement would be necessary.
Summarising what you wrote:
1. you flashed "official recovery 2.8.7" -> where did you get it from? 2.8.7 is the very old version!
2. you flashed unofficial TWRP very old (2014) recovery (I checked your link)
3. you flashed unofficial CWM very old (2014) recovery (I checked your link)
4. finally you flashed stock, from old OS 5.0 Lollipop recovery provided from entrusted source - nobody reported that it works in the thread.
I listed this for you in order to underline one thing - READ, READ, READ, ASK, ASK, ASK .... before flashing anything to the phone and tell it to your friend.
Le's start with flashing from ODIN ver 3.12.7 (I am using it) this version of TWRP:
twrp-3.1.1-0-klte.img.tar for G900F which is the latest official recovery:
https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxys5qualcomm.html
Read how to flash it with odin method (when you open the link).
Edit: Are you sure the phone is SM-G900F? Please check model number on the label under battery (inside the phone).
Edit2: When you enter odin mode check phone model version as well - it is provided by installed bootloader.

First, thank you for trying to help me!
Please see attachments:
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=1euC7-CoBeeUQxTGXQnPPgRE2-5VxFXLh
You can see that it is indeed g900f. I've also checked under the battery.
I've flashed the recovery you asked, however I could not find odin 3.12.7 only 3.12.10, so I've flashed with that (the odin thread on xda does not provide a link for 3.12.7 download).
You can see that it's still not booting with that recovery, it's just stuck at "booting recovery" screen.
I'm thinking perhaps it has a bad bootloader? How would you suggest to proceed?

Ok. Let's continue ... I hope (as I had very similar situation) that the phone is not hardbricked and eMMC memory is not corrupted -> I faced this on my phone and finally had to replace motherboard.
But let's be optimistic:
1. For data recovery - I don't have a silver bullet for this but I found this software: http://www.recover-android-iphone.com/recover-android/how-to-recover-data-bricked-samsung.html
It needs working odin mode so under condition that it supports s5 G900F it should be able to restore some data.
2. For unbricking - I recommend to flash via odin the latest official Samsung stock firmware dedicated to your friend's country/region:
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s5/SM-G900F/
You must be registered to download the software. Link for odin 3.12.7 is available on the bottom of the download page.
Just to underline - odin flash most probably (anybody please confirm that) will wipe your data so be aware of that.
Good luck.

Why a full firmware is needed? Perhaps I can flash only the parts required to get into recovery? I count mount the phone from recovery, that's why it's my priority.
I would like to know also if odin will wipe everything if flashing a full firmware?

Because it is commonly recommended way to unbrick a phone.

Perhaps, yes. But:
1. I don't exactly know what restricts your recovery to run properly. Flashing separate recovery failed.
2. You, for example, could try flashing separately one of the latest bootloaders dedicated to G900F from BL section with odin but I doubt it would help.

As far as I know yes but I am not 100% sure because I didn't try that myself on s5.
I would appreciate if somebody else confirms that.

In my opinion, if odin mode works then bootloader should be OK. But as you wish -
tell me first what stock firmware will you later on trying to flash on your friends phone or in which country the phone will be operated.

Latest available Firmware version for Hong Kong is G900FZHS1CQD1 however I can't find a separate flashable bootloader for you.
Generaly, in my opinion you might try any of the latest bootloaders compatible with SM-G900F phone (here you can find a collection: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54094068&postcount=3, I am on G900FXXS1CQI4) but again:
1. I doubt it will help for entering recovery;
2. I still recommend to flash complete stock firmware to unbrick the phone.
However if you anyway decide to try with a bootloader, flash it with odin from BL section (untick auto reboot). Also turn off the phone before and after flashing and pull out battery for about 30 sec. It happens that bootloader doesn't flash properly at once even the odin says "PASS" so some people reported that they needed to repeat flashing a few times. I managed to flash bootloader at first time.
Unfortunateely the phone is not with me anymore, so I won't be able to continue testing. Thank you anyway for trying to help me! I really appreciate your help!

Why root this phone?
What mean with my problem???
hey,
Try flashing latest firmware with patched odin

Cant get into TWRP/Recovery after CFW flash

I'm not a complete noob, but also haven't done anything regarding phone flashing in a while and this technology seems to change very quickly, so hard to keep up....
The Issue
I cant get into Recovery (Power + Bixby + Vol Up), my phone just shows the Samsung Logo and stays that way.
Forward
I have a SM-G950FD
I have no clue what the CSC code is
I am able to get into Download mode
I have a recent backup of EFS, CPEFS, and RADIO partitions
Odin does detect my phone
OEM Lock is OFF
What I did
I cant remember the sequence of events very well, just that I was on Nougat (I think) and wanted to try newer roms
I tried LightROM ([Samsung][ROM][PIE][9.0][13-July-2019][S8_S8+_F_FD][v21]LightROM.zip) which worked OK but I found out I wasn't rooted
So after using TWRP to flash a few more things, like SuperSU and still not getting a rooted device I decided to try a different CFW
I tried to install (hadesRom_PIE_Stock_v9.0.zip) from TWRP (This did not boot into the ROM)
I then tried (BatStock-Rom_SM-G95XF_V1.2.0.zip) from TWRP (tHis also did not boot into the ROM)
I then probably tried a few other things...
My phone now only starts with Samsung logo screen, and I cant get to Recovery/TWRP
Messing with ODIN
Only thing here is that I tried to install the latest version of TWRP with ODIN. While the flash succeeds, I still cannot get to Recovery.
I probably did try an older version of TWRP first (such as twrp-3.2.1-0-dreamlte.img.tar)
and I probably tried an older version of ODIN earlier too (Odin3_v3.12.5)
Last thing I tried was to flash latest TWRP (twrp-3.3.1-0-dreamlte.img.tar) with the latest ODIN (Odin3_v3.13.1)
Anything I can do to get TWRP back?
Thanks so much to everyone who keeps up with this stuff
Ok, made some progress. In order to repair phone, just need to use ODIN to flash (AP, BL, CP, & CSC) via Official Samsung 7.0 Nougat ROM.
Then after I install TWRP (twrp-3.2.1-0-dreamlte.img.tar) phone goes into bootloop.
Re-installing 7.0 Nougat to repair recovery.
Is there a magic combination to installing PIE + TWRP + SuperSU ?
Downloaded a 9.0 Pie Samsung Official from Austria (G950FXXU5DSFB_G950FODX5DSF1_MAX.zip) and Installing.
This guide looks promising https://www.androidinfotech.com/root-samsung-galaxy-s8-sm-g950f-pie/ . . .
the guide was very helpful. I now have Android 9.0 Pie + TWRP + Magisk (instead of supersu)
General Guide, Works even for phones with Issues
https://www.androidinfotech.com/root-samsung-galaxy-s8-sm-g950f-pie/
If you don't see OEM Unlock in Developer Options . . .
https://www.the***********.com/fix-missing-oem-unlock-toggle-samsung-galaxy-devices/
If you get "Cannot mount /data and unable to find crypto footer." when you try to install the Big 3 (Magisk-v19.3.zip, no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.0.zip, RMM-State_Bypass_Mesa_v2.zip
https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/help/twrp-mount-data-unable-to-crypto-footer-t3360331/page3
next I will attempt a Pie Custom ROM....
