After fair usage of the nexus 6p the screen goes black.. I have concluded it's the proximity sensor which is broken after the nougat update or maybe hardware issue.. Is there anyway I could disable it? It has stock recovery and rom.. Should I flash twrp and a custom rom to disable it or just rootin will do? Please help with a solution guys

the Hall sensor of my Galaxy s4 international is broken.
everytime i install a sammy firmeware (i really like them !)
the device goes into s-view mode and stuck there...
i never used adds for this...
so my question is can anyone give me a sammy firmware without
the Hall sensor driver ?
or delete the driver from the stock firmware ? it would be so great.
atm i am running cm 10.2 and i finally have the knox bootloader

I have the same problem. I build CM13 with the HALL sensor disabled.

I am currently running latest d802f with dorimax 2.5 kernel. The following
problem also accured with stock kernel. As well on latest PA betas for about 2 weeks!
My light and proximity sensor seem does not to work anymore! First I thought its a PA beta problem, but it also accures on stock roms! I installed several auto brightness tools, because I thought somethings rom with the integrated auto brightness. But these additional apps don't work either!
Then I installed "sensor testing" apps and discoverd that NONE of them are showing any values for these sensor. either its "NO DATA" or "ERROR".
So, what to do? Gimme you thoughts plz, thx

I am using Xolo q700i [only rooted, Stock ROM]
Since yesterday, I am facing a very strange problem. My Orientation Sensor and Accelerometer are not working. That means AutoRotation goes for a toss and not to forget any game.
I found that I could salvage the problem by using Android Sensor Box, then opening up the Orientation Sensor, then going back and opening up the Accelerometer. This somehow solves the problem, but it's just a temporary solution.
The Orientation Sensor and Accelerometer goes for a toss again after few minutes - 20-30 mins is what I've observed.
I have tried factory reset, but the problem persists.
Anyone can suggest any reason and any remedy?

Try to Flash Custom Rom or Flash Q700i rom via SP flash tool.....if You have already on that rom flash it again flash tool......if u face the problem again then its hardware issue contact service center (unroot your phone)..
Dude this problem persists a lot on the stock rom(mite be a bug)... nothin to do with Root... Check with a custom rom that worked for me!!!!!

I tried different nightlies , even the latest one , but problem is still there. my baseband version is DDUHOA1
Does the modem have any role in this issue? Or is it a hardware issue ?
The proximity sensor works fine on stock rom or any other roms that i have installed so far, including cm based other roms like GearCM ,Euphoria. But on official cm 12.1 the issue pops up..

this is due to proximity sensor happens to me all the time if u have xposed installed then download sensor disabler in xposed download section that will stop black screen on calls hope that helps u

I have a bit problem with my x720. I just realised some of sensors don't work.
I don't know that it has worked well before or not, but I had to unbrick it from the dead by the qfil ROM.
So after that I realised they are not working.
I have tried lots of ROM and Fw, but the proximity & light sensor don't work and neither the HAL sensor!
I don't know how could I fix it, but please someone help me! Every idea will be fine for me!

Same here. My x720 hanged and shut down suddenly. I was using stock 028S.
It was bricked and I had to resurrect it with Qfil. After that neither the proximity sensor, nor the compass, nor the fingerprint, nor the accelerometer work. I think that it's a hardware issue and I'm going to contact the seller, because it still has warranty.
Do you have any further information? What ROM were you using?

I finally managed to solve my problem with the sensors flashing another Qfil image. I think the first one had some problem.
Which qfil you used, because all my sensors proximity, rotation, fingerprint etc dont work.
They are working on original EUI 1D and 20s as long as one PixelExperience but not for the rest, has anyone any idea?
