Hello, first I would like to make it clear that I am just a normal user and understand some technical terms, also I am Brazilian and my English is weak.
I have a Asus Zenfone 2 ZE550KL Z00LD Octa Core 1.21 GHz Qualcomm MSM 8916 running WW_Z00L / ASUS_Z00L_63: 6.0.1 / MMB29P / WW_user_21.40.1220.1794_20160722: user
Phone is all original with no root or unlocked bootloader.
The first time I tried to change his ROM managed the feat to be able to delete all when connected to the PC (phone does not care anymore) only appeared in the device manager something related to the device processor.
I would like to change his ROM, I get the right. I do not know if root or unlock the bootloader first, let alone if I can do such operations in this firmware version.
I thank you for understanding. Thank you very much. Hugs from Brazil!

[UPDATE] I could have solved. Wait.
Hi, I've got a Zenfone 6 with bootloader unlocked whit stock ROM and I would like to have the OTA update.
I tried to understand where was the problem and on internet I found that the problem could be that the SKU version isn't the same of ROM version. So I went in the bootloader/fastboot mode and I see that the version match but the product_name is ASUS_T00F that is the code of Zenfone 5. I tried to flash the recovery and the fastboot with the .img file for version 3.23.40.52 that is the ROM version but nothing the product_name it remained ASUS_T00F.
I have no idea how to solve. Somebody help me
If needed I remain available for other information.
Notice that the phone should be converted from TW to WW ROM but not from me I have bought it from an online site.
P.s: If my English is horrible I'm sorry but I'm italian and my English is limited to a basic knowledge
Hey!
First of all my english is very bad, I'll do the best I can .
Some weeks ago (2-3) I received the phone , Huawei P8 Lite Android 5 (Vodafone ROM).
So i rooted with KingRoot and all was perfect.
Few days ago my friends told me to upgrade to 6.0, thats what i do. But surfing @ inet everything I've read is to Root with Bootloader unblocked..
But i cant unblock my bootloader cuz Huawei site says: "The Huawei ID used to apply for the unlock code has not been used on the device for more than 14 days."
So i downgrade to Android 5.0 SPAIN to try to root... butt.. CANT now, KingRoot says unavailable to root cuz version is "hi6210sft" instead of ALE-21, my version is DUAL SIM i dont care about double sim , i only want 1 lol.
The question is.. can i Root my Huawei P8 LITE (Compil.:BalongC50b311) without unblock my bootloader? I can upgrade/dowgrande all version if needed, the only think i need is Root.
Thanks you very much and sorry for this ****ty post (;z)
Regards
First of all, your rom in your Phone is not for Your Phone.. That word "balong" is "you have bad rom" flash right rom, then it could be possible to make root again like you already did

Yea, but cant flash the rom without bootloader unblocked true? :/
So, BALONG = some is wrong
im not sure, but i think you easily can flash stock rom without unlocking bootloader... you need just right rom image. It will be like "P8Lite_C432_B190.APP" that .APP is very important, because only with this you can flash it (just put it into root of your phone turn off device then press volume up and down in the same ime and urn it on. release after you see huawei logo)
yes, balong means something is wrong, but sometime your phone can work normally, it just rom for different region (for example China)

Good Luck, If You Can Root after Update Pls Tell me,

Hi,
I upgraded my innjoo max 3 pro LTE to Android 6 and instead of choosing “firmware upgrade” from Download tap in Flash Tool I chose “format all + download” which wiped off IMEI. Subsequently, I tried all the possible best to re-write IMEI back to the phone but all went in vain.
(1) I installed all the needed drivers for the phone yet my computer couldn’t make connection to the phone via many writer programs I had downloaded.
(2) I resulted to using apk app to write IMEI and most APKs require a device to be rooted and yet this device is resilient to rooting and the apk that doesn’t require a rooted device couldn’t have the job done either.
All what I want is being able to restore my IMEI back by rooting or not by rooting that doesn’t make a difference to me.
Please, I need help here
Dear good afternoon,
I have followed the forum daily and analyzed all the existing versions of update of ZenFone 2 for android 7.0 but I have many doubts on how to carry out the process.
Before I had a Nexus, in which I modified Rooms, Kernels, Bootloaders without problems, but now with ZenFone I'm not getting anything.
Someone could help me and tell me where I find all the processes to perform the bootloader unlock, root and install a custom android 7.0 room.
Here is my ZenFone model data.
ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE601KL)
Asus_Z011D Model
Android version 6.0.1
Configuration number MMB29P.WW_USER_21.40.1220.1853_20160818_060020715_201602190037
Kernel Version 3.10.49-gd173641 21.40.1220.1853 # 1
Baseband version 202c10_10.2.0_160802
Thank you in advance for your attention. Hugs.

950w/u doesn't have OEM unlock. These variants have locked bootloader's and therefore can't have TWRP installed. You would know this if you searched. It's only been discussed 1,00,000+ times

ok, why do they post a TWRP for 64bit - Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 MSM8998 (10nm) then? in the link i added in my post above?
and G950W is 64bit - Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 MSM8998 (10nm) as well.
ALso I do see OEM unlock option if I flash COMBINATION FILE, so can I do something else to root?
Thankyou
This TWRP is for Chinese versions that have an unlocked bootloader
It has been discussed a zillion times.. The only thing I can't find is, why?? Why was there a root available for 7.0, but that changed for 8.0?? It won't help achieving root on my G950w, but it just may help me sleep at night.. lol

Because the combination file has a exploitable permissive boot img. Stock does not. Also we only have a 7.0 combination file if all of you look in history the combination released is that of only equal to what the device was released with. In our case 7.0 we will never see a 8.0 combo to root with.
The oem unlock option in combo is only for bypassing frp nothing more. We have studied this quite well
There is a s8 snapdragon Chinese variant which are unlockable unlike our U and W models.
At current there is no root for any bootloader of our versions on reg s8 U or W passed revision 2. Hope this helps to clear up a bit on confusion
Also thread moved to q&a
help my s7
Hi, Eric here, I read your thread about frp lock bypass about the samsung S7 (link is: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/how-to/g930f-frp-unlock-helps-99-g930f-t3791424), and then I downloaded the rar files in this google drive address: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1do9rJ7NlJhPq3esLG7_HLxxUOLKD9PIr/view
when I try to unzip the files, I found the password was not correct (in the readme.txt, the password is: http://zipansion.com/hcsV). I really wonder whether you can check it and send the right password to me if possible, my email address is [email protected]
It will be really appreciated. Thanks a lot.
