I downloaded the t-mobile on and it doesn't work.

I tested them all on my VZW TP2.
Hmmm.... did you have a carrier banner before?
I ask because I have not used a TMO TP2 before so I can't be certain.

well I guess it does I'm not sure directly below the start button in portrait it says 3G T-MOBILE

If would be just opposite that on the right side of the screen, below the taskbar.

so it appears that if you didnt have a carrier banner before, then these wont work.... but gimme some time... i have an idea

ATTNETION AT&T / TELUS / T-MOBILE / US CELLULAR PEEPS:
I need the manila files from US Cellular, AT&T, Telus and T-Mobile stock ROMs.
You can copy these to your computer by connecting with active sync and browsing to \Windows\ on the device. Then sort my file type.
If you are able / willing to do this let me know and I will PM you with my FTP server info so you can upload them in ZIP file format.

Doesn't work on Tilt 2 either
The carrier bar replacement doesn't seem to work on my ATT Tilt 2 with the stock rom. Maybe it's a WinMo 6.5 issue?

Nope, not Speed6, but V6 MTX, soon to be supercharged if the kit ever comes out.

Telus TP2
Hello There,
I got the Telus version and I (we) don't have this "picture banner", but only text wrote at top left corner : TELUS
I found out that this can be change in the registry.
\HKLM\SYSTEMS\STATE\PHONE\CURRENT OPERATOR NAME ( telus )
But when you soft reboot the phone the TELUS is back again.
Let me know if you think that the files from mobile\windows\ (manila*) is needed to fix this

The reg edit hack is only to change the carrier name on the upper left. I would like the Manila files so I try to figure out how to get this to show up if you don't already have one. PM if you can send files and I will send you FTP info.

My TP2's unbranded but I'm on T-Mobile - reckon you could get your logos to work with this?

basically the same motor just tweaked. Its the 2.5L Duratec bored out to 3.0L and given a set of Mazda VVT heads. The contors are monsters though

Yeah.. I like it... but she will be 10 years old this month and she is starting to show her age... I think a 3.0L swap is in her future

Text message containing 'delta' 'at' symbol

I'm getting strange messages on my HD that contain the 'delta' and 'at' symbols with no content and Orange cant tell me what it is?!
I'm now concerned for the security of my terminal, has anyone heard of this?

Me too. Also on Orange. They *seem* to arrive at the same time as a message from Orange but have a different time so appear earlier on the list. There's also an icon with it (stored on SIM maybe). My guess - strange but harmless. I'm just deleting them. I'd be interested to know what they are though.

Not sure if its related, but I have had people say that they are receiving up to 5 copies of text messages i am sending...
Orange think its a text/email that the phone cant interpret...

received one last week, opened it, blank message so went to delete it and phone froze then reset....
received 2 today, first one dated 4th Dec and second one the time said it was a few hours earlier... didnt open either just deleted them.

Me and the wife are both getting these now and again, both on Orange too. I don't look at them, just delete. I'm curious so if anyone figures out what they are I'd love to know.

the first one worried me as froxe my phone after i deleted it!
dont know if it is connected but when i registered new sim card, i never got texts through to phone saying update, lease delete and turn off hone or what ever they say?

Yeah, exactly the same as mine, I have higlighted it with Orange and they claim to be looking into it for me, but do not yet know what is causing it.
It would be interesting to see if people on other networks than Orange are having this issue to know whether it is related to Orange or the terminal.

Received another one a moment ago! You think it is best to just ignore and delete or open them and delete?

Im still getting them too, just on the phone to Orange, unfortunately they have no idea...
There doesn't appear to be any issue with opening them and deleting them, but please dont take my word for that (terms and conditions apply, etc...)

Are you guys using an Orange-supplied phone, or SIM-free? I'm getting this on a SIM-free phone on Orange network. Just wondering if this makes a difference...?

Mine is a bit strange!
It is supplied by Orange, but is unbranded, yet is locked to Orange.

Just had an update from Orange, they are now speaking to HTC about this issue.
If anyone else has a similar issue, please use this thread as this (beleive it or not!) is what they are monitoring!

[Q] MMS problem on tmobile?

Anyone have problems receiving pictures? I'm having a weird problem. I'm using stock messaging app.. Looks like I can send pictures, but have trouble receiving them. In fact, a few times I didn't receive an MMS until I actually sent an MMS back. So I would send a picture and then immediately receive one once I sent mine. Except the one I just received was sent a day earlier. Another time I didn't get one until a few days later. I replied and my friend didn't know what the hell I was talking about.
Only started having this problem on my nexus 4. Everything seemed fine when I was on my old gnex a couple weeks ago. So is it a phone, tmobile or software problem? Anyone have similar issues?

search around here for the proper apn settings. that will fix you up.

Well wouldn't it already be proper apn settings when I inserted my SIM card?

I am having the EXACT same issue. I tried contacting T-Mobile support about they just "reset" my device on the network. It seems to work better now, but I can usually see when someone tries to send me a message. If it doesn't receive, I just send myself a picture and I'll get whatever was sent to me. However I attributed this mostly to being on 2G at home.
How good of signal are you getting and is it 2/3/4G?

nope. i am on att and just fixed a couple people in a dif thread an hour ago. this is your issue. i just dont have the t-mobile apn settings to help you further.

Do as follows and it might help you:
1. Go Settings - Apps - All.
2. Find SMS app.
3. Force close SMS app.
4. Clear data on SMS app.
5. Go APN settings.
6. Do Settings RESET of APN.
7. Reboot.
It worked for me - though I am in a different operator.
What is also important - MMS comes when you are not on WiFi. Only on Data.
Good luck!

The important changes are the APN type and APN protocol. Reboot and try.

What exactly are those changes going to do?

To be honest I really do not know. Once I changed to those settings I no longer had issues with MMS and had better speed. They also seemed to help a lot of other people. YMMV

G900F - Voice HD - AMR-wb

Hello guys!
I've been looking around for this but I can't get a clue on it.
Is there anyway to confirm if amr-wb is on? My csc has the flags and the operator supports it, but I can't be sure if it's working.
On previous phones (like the S4) the service menu *#0011#* works but on the S5, after inserting the number 1 it takes takes me nowhere.

I think that it works well on three uk, check it using *#0011# you should see AMR-WB xx.xKb/s. Usualy it only shows up when on hsdpa (H+ network).

I'm with Three UK and when i use that code (Service Mode) i see no mention of AMR-WB. Speech version is showing as FR FR FR and occasionally below that it shows AMR Undef but it keeps appearing and disappearing. I've been trying to figure out for ages about the HD Voice as when i call my friend who also has a S5 and is with Three, it definately doesn't sound like HD voice quality like it did on my S3.

Right now I'm the UK and both me and my wife have AMR-WB in 3 network...
I'm having exactly the same problem in Portugal with Vodafone... A friend have HD Voice and I don't have... It's somehow related to the SIM Card, or network profile I guess...

When you call your wife does it display a HD symbol on the screen to indicate HD voice?

No, it doesn't... I never saw that symbol even on other phones... But I can tell you that we can ear the difference on the conversation.

Cheers. Maybe it's just me then but it certainly doesn't sound HD voice when im calling and if it is then its nowhere near as good as it was on the S3. Reason i asked about the HD symbol is when i was googling i came across a few reports of t-mobile users who stated that when they were using HD voice, there was a HD symbol on the screen indicating it was on. If this is true it would seem strange that it shows for some networks and not others.

Galaxy S8 Mobile Data Won't Work!

Hello guys!
I received my s8 today and everything is great except from the fact that mobile data isn't working (or at least not the way it's supposed to)
I can start and receive calls and my signal bar is normal but I turn on my data and nothing happens. If I go to the settings and go to change network and choose my carrier the it will connect to 4g+. Once I turn off the data I can't turn them back on unless I do the same process.
Please help me! I have no idea what I should try in order to fix that.

Need a little more info, what model and or carrier is the phone? What service/sim are you trying to use it on?

I think so, I checked them and they seem correct. Something I just realised, is that when I started the phone.for the first time I did it without a sim and now when i turn on the phone I get a notification: "New sim detected, do a factory reset.." or something close to that.

Yeah I'd try a factory reset and if that doesn't work totally wipe the phone and use Odin to flash your carriers firmware.

SIM cards can fail. I lost data one day very suddenly, turned out the card failed. Carrier gave me a replacement.

It didn't work.. now I'm not getting the notification but it still won't connect to mobile data

I finally fixed it, I did factory reset because sim was asking me to do so(back up your data) and then I did recheck my APN settings.

It's probably because of this setting below (see pic). I had a software update and for some reason it set my phone on never use cellular network but it has to be set either on Wi-Fi preferred or cellular data preferred. No factory reset needed. To access the setting, go to settings, connections, more connection settings, Wi-Fi calling and then toggle one of the first top 2 options.
