Thanks

Nice review, but have some question for you,
Do you experience any kind of stutter or lagg on this phone?
Like the G3, if the screen brightness to high all the time, the phone gives you a warning and toggles its down... Have this phone that any kind of bugs to?
What about the photo's you took in your review movie. On what kind of mode you took the photo? Auto mode? Or manual mode?

Dear KK Users,
Please report any Bugs, Changes or any other Problems, Enhancements here. So we can Help each other. :good:
Thanks!
Edit : I wasted my whole weekend to get hands on this update with working Root & Other Tweaks! Don't really think this is a right time. So I rolled back to JB 4.3
Below are complied findings posted by user in this Thread! This hard-work is done by @trewelu & all credit goes to him.
Here's the post - Merged Reported Bugs/ Errors
Please read this post 1st, as many people are reporting similar errors!
Thanks!
Updated using flash tool not wiping DATA. My a jays 5 headset is not producing sound when connected now. Might be something else but will continue investigate.

There is really nobody who would like to test the camera in KK for us a little in 5 minutes?
First picture is taken with flashed Z2 camera (4.3 android)
And second stock 4.4.2 camera.
Superrior mode, flash turned off, very poor light conditions, about half meter distance from object.
Zoom 200% then cropped.

The second shot looks good! Unless you were really shaky on the first one.

So your first picture was taken with the camera app from the Z2 phone?
Anyway, this does mean that there are no big changes, doesn't it?
The shortcuts of walkman in The lockscreen sometimes doesnt work.
The camera app seems faster and The pictures have less ISO in The auto Mode than before. Só in general in low Light they seem better

But i think bleeding is still there after update - in some special conditions as before.
Also, starting camera with hardware key from deepsleep also didn´t work
For me the most noticeable improvement is that clear audio and other sound enhancements work in spotify. At last. I also like the new status and notification bar a lot.Other thing I noticed is more free ram. Overall I am quite delighted with it so far.

When a call comes in it takes about 10 seconds before the call screen appears, also entering pattern takes about 5 seconds .

Both Auto+ and manual, Noise levels have been tuned down, which in term suggests lower ISO.

Have to agree. A quick play with the camera suggests that the superior auto especially has been improved; The ISO seems to be getting selected a little more conservatively so much lower noise.
KitKat update in general seems very nice, but thats off-topic for this thread.

Screen mirroring was buggy with .114 and now it does not work at all. Nice job
It's time to try with CM11.

Shutter speed and autofocus

Hi
I have a g2 and I have problems with autofocus recording video and shutter speed
I would like to know these two features in Xperia z compact Thanks and sorry for my English
Enviado desde mi Nexus 7 mediante Tapatalk
What would you like to know?
I don't see a question in your post. I don't believe there are any known issues with the shutter speed or AF during video, if that's what you're asking.
Actually in videos there is a small problem. When changing environments or light conditions the focus is lost for a second and you have to move the phone a little so it can focus again. But for everyday use (i mean shooting in good light conditions during the day) its perfect ! Pictures are also great, you can check the z1c photography thread. There are shots from CM also.

Took a photo of the moon last night with my G4

You can zoom in see a fair amount of detail considering it's a cellphone.
Also tried with a crummy little $8 telephoto clipon lens:

Not too shabby, if you ask me.

Made one too [emoji14]
I'm satisfied with the camera. The pictures are clear and the autofocus is quick and great.
For taking quick and clean shots its the best cam I ever used.
On every phone I had someone was always complaining about the quality.
But you cannot expect an dslr quality cam which costs 2000$ or more in an 500$ phone lol

keenerb, they came out nicely! I'm assuming you used manual mode to get it to expose the moon properly? It's nice that you can see the details on it. And having manual mode helps with these sort of pictures. Do you have a link to the $8 telephoto? That's interesting.
Cozmos23, Donald K, those are really cool! The clouds look awesome.
They're not taken on a G4, but I tried taking some pictures of the moon last week with my "real" camera. This is on a Nikon P7700, zoomed fully to 200mm, then cropped, because the moon was still small in the picture. I thought it was cool, especially the craters at the edge of the shadow. I only wish the camera had a longer zoom.
I only recently started playing with night shots, which I think are pretty interesting. The second is another one from the same night, still on my P7700. A 30 second exposure, ISO 800, f2.0. I think some of the subtle light variations you see going diagonally up to the right, around the bright star, may be part of the Milky Way? I'm definitely not an astronomer. But seeing light and dark areas that aren't just the normal individual stars is cool.
Please forgive me for posting non-G4 pictures. I was just "excited" because this is something I've recently started exploring. I should get a little tripod of some sort for my G4, since it can do 30-second exposures.

now try and tell me that theres no god?? that is just so wonderful!!! thats just beautiful!!!!
Thats funny, I thought about taking a pic of the moon last night also......... But i didnt want a black picture with a teeny white dot in the middle.
Oh, to link this back to the G4 & photography: using the free "DSLR Remote" app, you can use the G4's IR blaster to trigger the remote shutter release on at least some cameras. It works with my Nikon.
For instance, you can use it to make the camera take a picture remotely, without jiggling the camera when you physically press the shutter button. Useful when on a tripod for long exposures, where stability is important. I admittedly usually just set a 1-second timer to accomplish the same thing.
One potential item of interest is the possibility of using this to take time-interval shots on cameras that may not natively have that feature. My Nikon has the ability to do interval pictures, but the shortest time interval is 30 seconds. I could use this app to get a 10 second interval, or something else the camera won't allow (a set # of pictures, etc).

This is weird but I also took pictures of the moon with my G4.
It was a 1 second exposure shot with me holding the phone so it's blurry but what a coincidence that a lot of people decided to do the same last night.

Here's a picture set at a 30 second shutter speed and I think an ISO of 350.
In real life you can't see the clouds really at all and the sky is pitch black to the naked eye. Just an Experiment shot.
The stars look a little blurred but if you zoom in that's how much they move in the sky in 30 seconds time.
guys! This is 3.photo topic...Realy need ?...

If you zoom in, surprisingly its decent for a phone and actually, you can see some stars too.

Is there only one camera working ?

Good evening everyone !
I really love the camera of the OP5, especially when shooting in RAW.
I tried pixter's lenses on my OnePlus 5 to add Wide Angle and improve Macros but I'm able to put it only on one lens (so there is a piece of plastic in front of the second cam).
Everything is good, and I tried many modes, all is working fine and this is strange...
So I decided to put my finger over the second cam (the one close to the flash), tried portrait mode, x2 zoom, manual mode, and I never saw my finger...
So is there only one camera working ??
Thanks !
The effect is only weaker with one lens.

Time to take picture (camera launch speed)

There! Something just happened! Did you take a picture of it? Rate this thread to express how fast the Nokia 9 PureView can go from "zero to picture". A higher rating indicates that launching the camera app and taking a photo is extremely fast such that you never miss an important moment, like when your cat attacks the couch again.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
I'm really interested into the shooting performance.
So any "final version" user please let us know how big the delay is between shoots when shooting a series of Photos.
Let's hope it's minimal!

From what I've read, the shots are processed in the background and there isn't any delay in taking the next shot. I'm curious about the buffer tho.

Read this too the other day. Let's hope the buffer is large enough to cover 4-5 shoots.
I guess processing will take 4 - 8 seconds per picture. This would not surprise me.
Gesendet von meinem HTC U11 life mit Tapatalk
The processing time differs based on the scene, and which settings are active. I've had some outside shots take between 15-20 seconds to process, and photos with less detail involved only take 3-5 seconds.
With everything active, there's about a half-second delay between shots. Even if you keep tapping the button, it won't take another shot immediately. I haven't noticed any limit on total number able to be processed at once though. I think the most I had at once was 11.

Thanks for the feedback. Am I guessing correct that this was on a pre series model?
Half a second delay is acceptable, I guess that's normal.

Not sure what you mean by 'pre series'. I've had mine since March 1. It's the retail version.
Ok, thought you got your hands on a version given to press or testers.

So, I’ve purchased the Nokia 9 from and downloaded a compatible pixel 3 camera mod… Question, do all five-camera work as one on third party camera applications as well, night scape using five camera lenses awesome.

I can't answer for sure, but I highly doubt it. I think the app has been customized to use all 5 together and stitch the image together when all the settings are enabled. Since you can disable the extra stuff, I imagine it would only use the main 2 cameras when using a third party app. Seems like it's software controlled.
Then that is good in my view because I can use the Nokia camera app to access all five cameras for pro photos and GCAM using the 2 RGB cameras for great point – shoot photos (like pixel 3 xl)
Could also be, that you are using just one Camera.

Can you share the link to the APK of the pixel camera mod you are using? Haven't been able to run one that doesn't force quit every time.
Got the working apk from Nokia Power User

Direct Link To One I'm using

I believe the long processing for the photos is a Nokia app bug, because i was able to find a workaround. This issue appeared on my Microsoft nokia as well. The work around i found to get them processed immediately is after you take your pictures, create a new text message or send yourself a text message, and add the pictures you just took to the text message. You dont have to send the text message and you dont have to add them all, just one that is processing. then you can go back in photos and it will be done processing.

No, the speed didn't get any better than before (maybe slightly, but not enough to really care/notice). They're supposed to be releasing another update soon. Honestly though, I doubt there's too much they can do about the picture processing time. With all the work going on in the background, I don't think they'll be able to speed it up much.
One thing I do hope they address though is the killing of background apps. If you take a picture with all the data turned on (RAW, depth, etc...), it seems to kill most background apps to free up space to process. That seems like overkill to me. Maybe free up a little space, but it seems overly aggressive.

Bummer, well I will wait a bit till its fully available here and test it at MediaMarkt.
I was really hoping for a flagship AndroidOne. But an unusable FP and a crapy Cam isn't worth the price.
Sadly there are zero alternatives....
