[Q] Nexus 7(2012) stuck in fast boot mode, bricked? - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Have a standard Nexus 7(2012), 18m old. OTA upped to Android 4.4.4. a month+ ago. Never rooted. From then on it has lasted a week or less before freezes/reboots while using apps or even nothing at all.
Have undertaken boots to fastboot mode (android on its back, door open but no red triangle) and then entered recovery mode to wipe system cache and then do a factory reset. This sometimes progresses thru startup restoring apps ok. Sometimes it crashes part way thru. Often get background Chrome and Maps crashes of late as it redownloads my old apps.
Google HW support line recommended this course of action until last time when desperate Indian woman out of her depth tried to say it was a hardware fault and palmed me off on Ausus(uk) saying they did a 2yr warranty... which I think they don't. Still to investigate that one.
The reboots kicked off again today. So did the usual: did a cache clear then factory reset and it restarted. Now it crashed while the Android coloured balls still rotating! And forcing into fast mode to do a 2nd factory reset failed as when I select Recovery Mode it now says "Booting failed" in small letters at the top and dumps u back in Recovery mode, though less the Android logo on its back. Cannot restart bootloader either, same error. Rebooting just freezes with "Google" displayed.
Have I "bricked it" somehow. How to I get past this?
As a novice, I have got Nexus Root Toolkit v1.8.5and tried to reflash to stock 4.4.4 rom on it. But bootloader is locked, as it is delivered, and it will not unlock it. (read from The Definitive Guide on How to Restore Your Nexus 7 Tablet (Even if You've Bricked It from nexus7 wonderhowto site)
Anyone got any info on what to do here? Better reflash tool/instructions? Is it hardware problem? Do Asus uk do a 2yr warranty that I need after 18months? Is this tablet permanently a dead parrot?
Any help, I am desperate here. Thanks

nexus 7 boot loop of death...

my shiny new nexus seems to be stuck in the boot loop of death...
it starts up, shows the google logo, then the nexus logo and then it just starts over... rinse/repeat etc...
i can get into the bootloader no problem, but since i have no roms installed my options there are limited to restarting the bootloader (does nothing to fix the problem), recovery (hangs on the google logo forever and does nothing, but at least does not loop) and shutdown...
again, i have no roms installed (haven't had a chance to yet)... this is pretty much a stock device with some games/apps installed from the market...
i got my nexus about 3 weeks ago from microcenter, so i have just under a week to fix this or i will have to exchange it for another unit...
so how bad is this ? fixable, or should i not even bother and just take a ride and exchange it ?
Completely fixable.
Have a look at wugfresh's toolkit if you havnt seen it yet.
It allows you to flash stock from bootloader mode which will wipe all your data, but fix the problem

[Q] Nexus 4 Boot loop at "google" (Stock 4.3)

Hi. got stock unrooted Nexus 4, upgraded to stock 4.3. via google OTA upgrade
1. I was messing around with some app.
2. Suddenly the phone crashed and rebooted itself.
3. Ever since, I couldn't get pass the white "google" boot logo, no matter how many time I shutdown and started the phone I've waited like 5 minutes (phone shouldn't take that long to boot) without anything happens so gave up.
4. Power+Volume down brings me into Fastboot mode
5. Volume down to select Recovery in an attempt to enter recovery mode to clear catch/factory reset whatever, returns me to 3
6. Phone is paperweight. Want phone back.
Suggestions?
Edit*
I have submitted the phone for repair and the technician said the battery connector is somehow shorted due to manufacturing defects. What a bad impression from my first Nexus.
Reflash factory image with fastboot

What the first guy said. Tried going into recovery and wiping everything?

I may have bricked my Nexus 7 and lost my data. Any ideas appreciated

Hello, I fear I have bricked my nexus 7 (2012 wifi unrooted) and lost all of my data
What Happened?
Play store would crash on startup so I went to restart my tablet.
When turning my tablet back on it gets stuck on the four circles loading screen and does not load any further.
What Have I Tried?
Firstly I went into recovery mode and tried "wipe cache partition" as recommended elsewhere. This changed nothing
Then I tried to flash 4.4.3 on in hopes it would replace potential corrupt files (whilst also getting an early update )
I used this guide cultofandroid com/63876/install-android-4-4-3-nexus-5-nexus-4-nexus-7/
It failed. When running flash-all.bat (with -w removed) it would be stuck on "waiting for device" and my tablet would also be idley waiting to receive files.
I thought that my laptop could not 'see' my tablet but think it actually could because I tried restarting my tablet whilst it was plugged in still, and command prompt showed some messages (unfortunately I didn't take note and cannot remember what they said!) whilst it was restarting
State of tablet now
I now cannot even get into recovery mode
When I turn my tablet on the normal way it loads to a screen which shows the "Google" text in the center of the screen, an unlocked padlock at the bottom, and the fastboot options top right (clicking them does nothing)
When I turn on my tablet on into fastboot mode and try to get into reovery mode I get an error message in the top left of the screen saying "Booting failed"
I'm out of ideas.
Is there any way that I can get my tablet back working normally with all my data safe?
Thanks for any and all help/suggestions
Don't go into recovery mode, just leave it in fastboot mode and run the flash-all.bat.
(The -w might be needed, as it reformats your partitions. Yes, all your data goes but if there are faulty sectors, this is the only way)
Thanks, I left out the -w but it completely wiped the tablet anyway. Better than having a brick.
Before I assumed you couldn't flash with out getting into recovery.
For anyone else doing this be patient. The command prompt looks like it has stopped a couple of times but it hasn't. Its only finished when it says 'press any key to exit' (took 4-5 minutes for me).
Also when it reboots your tablet it takes a while and actually reboot mine 2-3 times before it loaded up.

Verizon Lg g2 stuck in bootloop

So for a few weeks now, my phone has been having bootloop issues. I've been trying to fix it on my own, but no luck so far.
I can get it into download mode. Up until I tried to restore it to its stock version via the User Tool, I could get it to the factory reset options, which led to the options to wipe cache, reboot, etc. However, none of those options worked. When I attempted to reset to factory settings, I got the "dead" green android with the red triangle. Then the screen goes black and starts bootlooping again.
Once in awhile I can manage to turn it on after having it turned off for hours, or even days and it works like normal, except that if I lock it or turn it off it will end up restarting and starting to bootloop again. Which is bad seeing as it drains somewhat fast due to being overheated while having the screen constantly on.
As for my experience trying to use update recovery, it gets to the downloading part then stops and gives me this message "[011.700.147.062.092]??? ??? ? ? ????". I don't even know if I am using the correct stock rom for my phone, since I only know its MEID and model name.
do u resolved this, i have the same problem

Stuck on encryption lock screen, won't boot PLEASE HELP

Hey everyone,
So my phone died and then I got it charged and turned on and it booted up to the encryption lock screen where it says to start up your device, enter your pin. So I enter my pin and then its says, "verified" and then "starting android". and then a padlock appears on the screen, it opens, and there's like a load up circle going around it. At first, I let the phone sit to see if it would do anything but after an hour, I figured something is wrong. I dont know why this happened, I think I might have accidentally turned on the secondary encryption, but this really sucks, I don't want to have to factory reset and lose all my pictures and data. I can boot into recovery mode but sometimes when i turn it on it shows a screen that says installing update and has like a google ring looking thing that should be spinning around but it looks like its glitching out, after that screen it will go to a no command screen, and then it will eventually reach recovery mode. I really hope someone can help or knows what is going on because, I really dont want to lose all my stuff.
Thanks for your time
I tried posting link but im new, if you look up s7 edge frozen encryption, its the first link , another person describes the same issue.
I had this issue. In recovery, tell it to clear the delvic cache. Then try a reboot.
It too a few attempts before the phone would not boot directly into recovery. But once i got it to do a normal boot, it started normally.
Then after it's running, back it all up, boot into recovery, and do a system restore.
Hi I wonder if anyone can help me. I restarted my phone, it asks for my pin which I enter correctly. It then gets stuck on spinning padlock. I've tried a soft reset (I think that's what it's called, holding down power and volume keys). It restarts, I enter pin, it says starting android then gets stuck again. I'm not very tech minded (typical girl). Can anyone help. I'd rather not lose all my photos and apps. Thank you so so much in advance. Toni x
I am facing the same issue, but with a Samsung Galaxy S8.
- Safe mode: doesn't boot
- Recovery mode: works, clear cache doesn't solve the problem.
So since nothing worked to make it work (except the Factory Reset, but I didn't tried this option), I decided to wait in the padlock screen. After 3 hours the phone started.
I guess that the phone is decrypting some big file during startup. Indeed, some days before before this problem happens, I downloaded some big files via torrent (~2-4 GB video files).
I'll delete these files and make some tests to understand the source of this problem.
Have same issue after recent update, tried clearing cache and safe mode but didn't help, been on padlock for about 10 hours now, any solutions/experiences?
ps: on stock rom with stock recovery, no root or anything of that sort at all.
