OnePlus Customer Service Woes [UPDATE: 07.03.2014] - ONE General

Just to keep XDA memebrs in the OnePlus "Customer Service Woes" loop.
I probably won't update the OP very often, as FACTS are much slower reveal themselves, as opposed to supposition, anger, excitement, and or spectacle.
That being said, please feel free to report your personal customer service experience.
IMPORTANT:
This thread is meant to inform anyone who's; awaiting an invite for an OnePlus One, have an invite, ordered the device, or are waiting for there device to ship. The information contained in this thread should remain FACTUAL, as in actual customer service experiences.
This is NOT a thread for product reviews. This thread is not about ranting against OnePlus, I like what they are trying to achieve, so please do not post random anger herein.
This is NOT a thread about the product that OnePlus is selling, its about how they are actually selling it.

According to Boo, he got his device on July 3rd, after ordering on June 26th (He had standard shipping). Looks like people are getting their devices pretty quick now on the OPO forums too.
I won't have any first hand knowledge now that Boo has his phone, so I'll probably won't update this thread unless Boo has some other issue.​

There's several rapidly growing threads on the OnePlus forums regarding the "Pending Shipment" issue of late. One link for example:

There's actually quite a few threads like the one posted above, regarding processing shipping, wait times, etc etc. So, its a known issue.
Not sure there's much to be done about it beyond making a note to the support team.​

Good news, the OnePlus site is working and people can order again. Bad news, no one has seen an order actually ship in what looks to be at least a week.​

It looks like there are quite a few winners from the "Storm of Invites" lottery that have received their invites, but can purchase the device.
Lots of threads popping up in their forums claiming the same problem. See links below:

The list goes on and on. Is it a website error? Are they really out of stock? I have no idea, but the OPO fans are speculating away. Some say its been 24 hours, some say its more like 8, either way no one is getting their orders in by end of business today. Meanwhile there are apparently no replies on the issue from OnePlus admins.
I feel sorry for the invite winners that can't buy the phone they want. Good thing I still have my trusty Galaxy S3. I think I'll hold on to it until I see a device that really peaks my interest. Haven't seen anything this year that is mind blowing, or a must have.​
Updates will appear only as reports are verified.

The issues go even further than that...
I am a Storm Of Invites winner as well. I ordered my phone earlier this week and they pulled the $370 from my bank account the same day. However, the status of my order is still "pending shipping" after nearly 2 days. I've been reading that others are in the same situation but are now going on day 5 and 6 of their status being stuck on "pending shipping".
Their own website says it will only be in processing for a maximum of 24 hours before it's shipped out, which is clearly not accurate. What also sucks about this is that some of us paid an extra $6 for expedited shipping to get the phone sooner but here we are 2+ days after ordering and the phone hasn't even left OnePlus' hands to get to UPS/USPS yet. And to top it all off, there is no option to cancel your order, they won't respond to emails and there is no phone number to call.
So even after you get through the headache of actually acquiring an invite, you then face the challenge of being able to successfully place your order, and assuming you do successfully get your order placed it apparently just gets shipped out whenever they get around to it.
I thought ordering the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 through Google Play during their launches were bad experiences. This one is absolutely horrendous.

That thread is in regards to actual reviews about the phone. This discussion is a completely different topic regarding the ordering process itself.

I'm in the same boat here. Nearly 2 days, and my order is still "pending shipment". To make matters worse, it appears that OnePlus got their shipping information mismatched. Apparently, the "standard" shipping in the US is faster than the "express" option. What the hell, OnePlus? As if getting an invite in the first place wasn't hard enough?

Thanks for your input. I'm really just trying to help my mate out. We used to be flat mates in Uni.
He got got an invite, bloke was so excited he won something I thought he might keel over. He's BooRaddley or something like that on the OnePlus forums, also the same bloke that pointed me to the iFixit teardown of the OnePlus One.
Boo said he got his order in after something like 10 hours of complaining, emailing, posting, and waiting on the ordering site to start working again. I told him not to throw his money at it, but he said he's never won anything in his life and just wanted to feel like a winner. Deary me, poor bloke. I think I'll let him enjoy whatever glow he can muster, rather than tell him he could be waiting for a long long time.
Oh well, what's done is done.
Let this be a word of caution to those of you waiting for invites.

I too got a storm invite and ordered it the day i recieved it, be patient, there are a lot of people who want this phone and would be glad to have the chance to purchase it before it goes public, just be glad you won the ****....

I guess I should change the title of this thread to something like, OnePlus Customer Service Issues. Yeah that'll do.
I hope my mate Boo just went with standard. We both live in California, and OnePlus ships from there right? I just won't breach the subject.

Where does it say that it ships within 3 days of ordering?
Their own site says processing for 1 day before shipping...

I do see your point. We are lucky to even be able to place an order in the first place at this point. However, if they aren't going to honor the shipping timeframe that they highlight on their own site then I believe this is an issue. Especially for those of us who shelled out another $6 to have it expedited.
The way I see it is that they have 24 hours to process it then 7 calendar days to get it to my door (according to their own information in the link above). This means the phone should arrive no later than Wednesday 7/2. I'll even say Thursday 7/3 would be acceptable. But any later than that and I can assure you I will be asking for a refund on my expedited shipping as it clearly wasn't expedited at all. Call me picky but if I'm paying for extra to have it arrive quicker and it takes more than the maximum amount of days that the seller indicates it should, something went wrong on the side of the seller.

I understand...I think this is just all of the anxiety and pressure from the whole "experience" letting out. I am grateful, believe me....I feel like OnePlus is just creating unnecessary headaches.

I ordered mine today, 0 issues or problems. If it didn't work yesterday, try again today!

Sorry @Naddict , I have removed the one item in the OP that was more of a product review item.
However, I would like to keep this thread open as a factual report thread for customer service, specifically the process of getting the product. It should not reproduce any conversations in the "Opinion" threads. I will report only fact. I will also only encourage fellow members to post facts and experience, not opinion, nor speculation. Proof of any report is highly encouraged.

@C13v3r0n3 Thanks for the info. What was the date of your order? Did you have any issues placing your order?
AT ALL:
Please keep us updated on the time it takes from submitting your order, to actually shipping your device. Is it greater or less than 3 days?
NOTE: We don't need to know how long it takes for USPS or UPS to get you the package, once the item leaves the OnePlus warehouse I assume speed is out of their control.
Also, please try to refrain from posting opinion. I am trying to gather facts in order to keep everyone informed.
Lets all act like Vulcans and remove any semblance of emotion in our reports.

There seems to be some confusion as to how long OnePlus has stated that it will take from placing an order to it actually leaving their facilities. So far I've seen 3 days, and 24 hours.
Can someone please post a pick of their site where this info is posted, or give us a link where the information can be found.

i ordered mine without a problem. race winners also just got their invites so theres a lot of phones to ship out. standard shipping is faster in the us because they are shipping 2 day priority and express is ups which can take up to 3 days. however express shipping will be processed before standard shipping, and usps wont ship on the weekends. either way you should have your phone by like wednesday.

Thank you for clarifying. So basically, whatever time is lost by choosing UPS over USPS should be made up for because UPS delivers on the weekends.

it depends on how long it takes them to process this batch. i chose standard shipping. i have patience, i can wait an extra day or two. since its the weekend its kind of a gamble which is better, so ill just use the cheaper option.

yeah i won on the storm contest. and ordered my phone. i shouldnt need an invite if it ships out.

No issues ordering for me, I just clicked the link in the invite, claimed it, then it took me back to the home page and I clicked the purchase link for the 64gb version then finished with PayPal. Pretty non eventful and very easy.

How was you Best buy pre order experience?

Just wondering how the turnout was. Any lines how many others on the pre order list etc? Someone on engadget posted this, im kinda surprised ...

Dude, please tell me you have pictures? My BB had lots of people out line, but none of them for the XOOM. Do you live in a tech savvy district? I find it odd that anywhere would have a line for the XOOM, but it's encouraging.
I just bee-lined for the mobile department and some cute chick handled my pre-order. I played with a galaxy tab for about two minutes then left.
Heh, what line? I went in at 11:00am-ish and they open at 10am. Went over to wait for help in the celluar area, talked to the salesperson about pre-ordering and then left. I asked and they said I was the first person even to ask about pre-ordering.

That's what I get for skimming the post
The BB's in MA don't open until 11:00 on Sundays (vestiges of the old Blue Laws). I got to the store at 10:45. There were a dozen or so cars in the parking lot with people waiting, as no one wanted to stand outside in the cold (20* F) and wind. They opened the doors right at 11:00 and I was the first one in the store. I walked right over to the mobile counter and asked about the pre-order. They pulled a spiral notebook out of the locked cabinet behind them which had the pre-order info in it (for the Xoom and Thunderbolt), scanned the bar code on it and filled in my info on the first page, then rung up the pre-order with the $50 gift card. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes, and none of the other people waiting were there for the Xoom.
I did find it interesting that not all BB's were doing pre-orders for the Xoom. I called 3 last night, and 2 out of the 3 were doing pre-orders.
BB in my area was a joke
Only myself and one other person were there at open yesterday to pre-order. Both of us were told they were not doing pre-orders for the xoom. I laughed and said its on your website so look it up. 10 min later they found it and placed our orders. Considering we all know this was in their play book, they had training and this is usually a good best buy I was disappointed by their stupidity. In the end its ordered so as long as it comes in and I get a call on Thursday I will be happy.
I just returned from Best Buy (Knoxville, TN), worked yesterday so I didn't have time to stop by. The person at the Mobile center wasn't sure they were taking pre-orders, she had to ask a couple of people. Funny thing is when she got confirmation she knew exactly where to go in their little folder of pre-order forms, flipped right to the XOOM and pulled one out. Based on what I saw there was only one other pre-order from this location. All in all, quick and painless.
I just left Best Buy in Miami, FL and tried to inquire about pre ordering the xoom, and also to check if I could use a 10% coupon. I went to the mobile section and asked a girl about the xoom and she gave me a "deer caught in the headlights" look. She said, "oh, you mean the iPad thingy?" I said, "please don't call it an iPad." She checked with another of the associates and sent me to the computer section. I just decided to leave ASAP. I'll try another Best Buy later.

No matter where I have worked, I learned as much as I could. It bothered me in my first week at a new job, having to ask for help, how can these people go years oblivious.
I went to the bestbuy in georgia..at about 10:45 there were maybe 10-15 people there.When the doors opened I thought for sure everyone was headed for the Xoom..but it turned out that none of them went near the mobile center.I was the only & 1st person to pre-order the Xoom.

Same here 12:20 and I was the first one pre order. Its funny though cuz the sales rep I spoke to didn't even know what it was. She thought it was a phone. But I said its not a phone. Then she looked into the inventory then asked me is it a tablet? I was satisfied finally she got what I was asking for. I kept waiting for another 20 mins while she trying to look for where to do pre order. As long as I got my xoom im happy.

I stood in line at the mobile center for maybe 15 minutes while people got their phones replaced, wireless modem cards fixed, etc. When I asked about the Xoom, he asked me to follow him to the magnolia room and did the pre-order back there. Never had that happen before. No idea how many people ultimately pre-ordered in our store.
i walked in today around 3pm and asked about it. the staff said that the preorder guaranteed a unit if they shipped to that store, not that they (the store) were guaranteed units in the first place.
no thanks bb...... ill chance a direct buy from vzw or or costco....

Well lets wait until motorola out the number of xoom sold then we'll all know, at least nationwide not one store particularly. But best buy site says xoom pre order is now on back order. Wondering if they really just sold their whole stock ones on day one.

That is always the deal on pre-orders. The date is subject to change and they often don't know how many they will get if any.
i agree, but preorder to me says i will definitely get a unit on release date, not that i will get one if they ship. the least bb as a corp could do is say yes this store will get a delivery of units. but i guess in this day and age of advanced supply and management systems a store cant tell if they are going to get them.
if i preorder and the store says sorry we did not get any, i would run my complaint as far up as i could go.

I'm gonna be pretty pissed if my store doesn't get at least 2 units (I was #2) - They shouldn't advertise you can pick up the unit in that store on the 24th if you aren't guaranteed it.

I got in on the deal, but don't consider it closed until the unit actually ships at 25% off...
I don't think this poll should be up yet either. Since nothing has shipped, we really aren't 100% sure we "got in" on this deal in the first place. Once orders are shipped and credit cards billed, only then will we know who actually got 25% off and who didn't.
Right now it's just speculation, but anything can happen. They may honor them all, they may only honor up to a certain point, they may run out of stock and just cancel the remaining orders, or they may cancel them all.
It aint over until the fat lady sings, and it's awfully quiet right now.

They already announced they are honoring the orders. I'm having some trouble getting a free case, as I was a charged for it. Battling cust reps right now and contacting corporate.
That's why I stated in the OP that this isn't about the shipping. It's just to see how many actually got through before they pulled the plug on the deal. If nobody has gotten their shipping confirmation by tomorrow, then I'll start worrying and have the thread closed, but for now, I'm trusting Moto to keep their word on actually honoring the deal.
There was an article posted on Droid-Life about this pricing error from Motorola.
Author said that Motorola had reached out to him and said that they would indeed be honoring these orders. Let's hope for the best!

I bought the xoom that i am on for my wife but once I found the discount code from Motorola, I couldn't resist not waiting for a wifi only edition. My total was 673 for 1 xoom, 2 portfolio cases and 1 free gel case plus free shipping. We will see if it arrives in an hour or so.

I am so sick of these threads. I was on that forum 5 minutes after the main poster posted the coupon. I went to the shopping cart, added everything, then verified for everyone else that it was legit. I was planning on buying it after I got a response back from my work finance department, which they ended up taking one hour too long to get back to me and the deal was over.
I was upset about missing out on the deal for a couple days, but now it's just getting irritating seeing every other post about everyone that got the deal. Quit rubbing it in our face. Yes, it's nice that lots of you got it, and I'm happy for you. But I don't need to be reminded about how screwed the rest of us are spending $800 on it. I, for one, will be extremely happy once those do ship and we can stop hearing about it.

I placed my order on the 24th and never received a tracking number, which is why I called in the first place. We will see if it actually shows up today.

I haven't seen ANYONE on this forum rubbing it in anyone's face, and that's not the intent of this thread. I just want to know how many people got one over on Moto. I'm sorry that you missed it. I've also missed great deals that I wish I would have been able to take advantage of, and yet the world didn't end because I missed them.
Last time I ordered from the moto store (early December) it took them 2 days to ship. (Moto Roadster) Ordered on a Wednesday, shipped on Friday, received on Tuesday.

I think we're all still fearing that Motorola might be withdrawing despite their "pledge to honor the deal". My credit card has not been charged as of this morning. But I'm optimistic!

While I did get in on it, I don't feel "entitled" like some do. I wouldn't try to get the free shipping if I forgot, or the case if it was out of stock. If I get it, I get it. If I don't, sure I'll be disappointed but it was a mistake after all, and I won't be calling and *****ing like I know some would.
Hell, people are boycotting motorola because they missed the deal! I just don't get the entitlement of today's society. I would hate to work for the unemployment or welfare office!

I ordered Thursday, payed for the 1 day shipping and live in Oklahoma. I have heard they will be shipping from or have shipped from Texas in previous threads. I hopefully will receive it today, hence why I paid for the one day shipping. It says on my order it shipped on the 24th, but I'm not buying it. My CC was charged Friday. Has anyone received on yet, and if so who is the carrier? If its fedex I may call the local office and see if pickup from the store would be acceptable tomorrow before my flight takes off around noon.

Handtek are reknown for advertising a product way in advance giving false information just to get customers to pre-order and take their money.
Then come the day they mysteriously don't have stock.
Look at their site on the 32GB version. They are taking pre-orders at just over £700 a phone and taking the money now........ As we know there's no sign when and if the 32GB model will be shipped.

Not a thing... Because Samsung said there would be a 32GB version at some stage sellers can advertise it if they want. However it's all a question of who do you help.. yourself or your customers.
I clearly remember when the Galaxy S was being advertised by Samsung that it would be available in both 8GB and 16GB models.
Clove and Handtek soon started advertising both models for pre-sales taking monies.
However it soon became clear the larger 16GB model was going to carriers only.
Clove then stopped advertising the 16GB model but Handtek carried on.
I contacted Handtek informing them that no SIM FREE 16GB model would be coming to them...
This though did not stop them carrying on taking pre-orders and money for a phone they would not get.
In the end all those who had pre-ordered the 16GB model were instead offered the smaller 8GB.
Basically, Handtek are a business and businesses have to operate tight in order to keep them afloat. It's how they effect customers though which should be their priority.

Of course I will get it.
Just supicious of the ever changing dates.

As I have already said Guys, it's all a ploy to get you to order with them early.
Handtek do this time after time after time.... They will tell you an early date so as to get you to pre-order and part with your hard earned cash then come the day of shipment it's then mysteriously been put back for some reason not of their doing.
At worse is when they advertise a product and take pre-orders with payment for goods that simply there is no known date, sometimes these products will not even make it to their stores. Take a look at their advertisement of the Galaxy Note 32GB model here. You will notice they are taking pre-orders but we are not even sure yet the 32GB will come to SIM FREE.
Clove on the other hand are being honest... They have no idea either but unlike Handtek they don't advertise nor take pre-orders or cash.
I will say they will ship orders on the same day that Clove ship.
Any place that takes your money when you preorder is questionable.

It's all a question of timing....
If a product has an unknown date or a date that is weeks away then yes, a pre-order with funds debited from credit cards should not take place.
If however a product has a known date that falls within a week or so then yes a pre-order with funds debited is to be expected from sellers who take orders in mass block.
The reason why they take funds prior to shipment is because they need to have your payment record complete. If not and you have not paid they then need to either contact you again or contact your credit card company which all takes time prior to shipment.
When these sellers who deal in mass block (could be a couple of hundred orders) obviously they want to get out as many orders in the day as possible. However, having to recontact the buyer or their credit card company all adds to delays which in turn makes an angry would be customer waiting for his/her order.
So, technically Handtek are doing the right thing in getting all details including payment out of the way.... However, where they then spoil it is by either taking the funds far, far too early or taking funds for items that clearly they will not receive.
Clove on the other hand only advertise when they know an item will be released at some stage and only take funds within nearer the release (I think mine was taken 10 days prior to the Nov 3rd expected date).
Note:
Clove have only recently started to do pre-orders with payment.
They used to only take pre-orders but found new orders these days are much much higher in demand. As such under their old way of operating they simply did not have the time in the day to complete all orders in one day.
It is regrettable yes but at least the pre-order with payment in this case does at the least guarantee the day they receive stock from the wholesalers it gets shipped to the buyer either that very same day or the day after.

My order was for the cheaper "operator branded" version, which they haven't received yet but are are apparently still expecting sometime later today as well.
Obviously we won't know anything for sure until people start getting their tracking numbers, but I have spoken to them several times and while this is the first order I have placed with them I have been pretty impressed with their professionalism. Didn't like the live chat though - they were kind of useless as far as pre-sales questions go (plus I got cut off several times), so I reverted to just calling and speaking to sales, who have been really helpful.......

My order went through on October 26th, and he said today that this was a fairly early order so will be in the first batch - so yours will definitely go out first. If I'd known the price of the standard version was going to drop I probably would have ordered that instead - but I'm sure the operator logo is easily removed (not that it would matter if it wasn't). Just hope these branded units come in quickly.

I pre-ordered Sept. 7th....was my order shipped? I have no tracking information.

T-Mobile Order Tracking

There are a bunch of us who ordered 64GB Nexus 6s early on 11/19 (or late on 11/18), who still don't have their orders, despite many others who already have their orders who ordered AFTER us. T-Mobile doesn't seem to think there's a problem with this, can't tell us anything about when we could possibly see our orders, and has more or less told us that they won't do anything because there's no evidence that their system screwed up. To that end, we've started tracking 64GB Nexus 6 orders in a spreadsheet, here. We're hoping, that by collecting this data, we can show them that we know we're being screwed over, and that they need to get straightened out.
If you, or a loved one ordered a 64GB Nexus 6 on or around the morning of 11/19, please feel free to add your information to the spreadsheet. Also, if you happen to have ordered after about 10AM PST on 11/19 we'd really like to have your information, especially.
In case anyone missed it @askdes gave quite a response last night. He did make one very good point. What we are doing here is helping to make everyone that ordered a 64gb Nexus 6 feel that they are entitled to receiving their phone in a timely manner. Please remember that the issue here is that people that ordered during the early launch time frame may have been missed somehow while others that placed orders later are receiving their phones. We should all know by now (or at least have an idea) that Google/Motorola are having some kind of manufacturing issue. The only reason we are upset with T-mobile is that they have not been forthcoming with accurate information as to why some people were "accidentally" skipped over. That is it.
@casbar no one has been intentionally skipped. I have enlisted a great deal of people to make sure any errors are found & fixed it takes great deal of time and effort. Days not hours, and the manufacturer has not helped. I am trying to not throw anyone under the bus here. The problem is now there are people who ordered much later and think they are entitled to deliveries earlier and that is not the case and it makes it more difficult to help the people who may have had a legitimate issue but we will help every customer because that is what we do! - Des

I do believe that T-Mobile is attempting to correct any errors on their part. We should be as patient as possible and collect any information that will help us build an understanding of what may have happened if for nothing else to help T-Mobile resolve this situation.

32gb is enough for me. i keep all my music in the cloud, movies ill delete. mostly roms and other things to flash is what my storage is used for(nandroid backups too).

Same here, I guess we were both in the same shoes. I ordered on the first day (Wednesday) and received it the following day.
Although for me I keep my music on local storage and still have space to work with. I take the train so music in the cloud isn't good for me.

well after reading almost 10,000 post in both "Nexus 6 Waiting Room" and "T-Mobile receiving limited stock" I think we people who ordered 11/19 from T-MOBILE or there abouts, then put on backorder to 11/25, are getting lost in the orders from GPS and MOTO.
I have neither received on read about anybody have any info on these orders. Does any info

I ordered on the 20th..backorder 21st...in same boat with no estimates..tried executive CSR, store CSR, and website with no luck.

I put out a Twitter (twit, tweet, twiddle?) today for T-Mobile sort of publicly asking for any sort of shipping status. They immediately got back to me and asked me to direct message them but then was promptly asked the same questions on my order that the phone and chat reps have asked me all the time about my order.
As far as I know I'm still on backorder from 11/25 (ordered the 19th) and nobody has any idea when I'll get this phone.
I'm patient and don't care if I receive it in February, I just want to know if I'm going to be receiving it and when. Especially with holidays and travelling coming up I don't want to risk having the thing sit on my doorstep for days/weeks while I'm gone. Just any little drop of info would be awesome.
So we know that at a minimum Google, Motorola and T-Mobile are having issues with managing orders for this phone.
Either hundreds of thousands are ordering or this is the "demon core" of smart phones.

Just got the system generated message from TMO that my order will be delayed until (between) 1/9/14 and 1/23/14... and that is anything changes, I will know because it will ship... (duh) I'm lucky that I got a 32GB and at this point really don't need the 64GB but its just a matter of principle now..

Verizon Note 7 Recall Procedures [Discussion]

Hey All!
I started this thread as I saw one similar for Amazon but wanted an area to discuss the recall specifically from Verizon as I have heard many different things and little information is available online as well as it keeps changing.
1st DiscussionI had:
I broke my Note 7 the same day Samsung announced the recall. Of course Verizonor Samsung reps were not helpful at all this day.
2nd Discusion:
A few days later I called Samsung and discussed what was going on and all they could say was to go through my carrier to see what procedures they have in place but they are taking them back in ANY condition.
3rd Discussion:
Called Verizon store and they said I couldexchange it or return it but had to be before Sept. 30th. I advised I think I was past due so he said i needed to be current. Ihad a rough chat after this as I explained I got a recalled device but they wont have replacement Note 7s by that time and if I return my phone I wont have one to use and the next best thing being the S7 Edge which I traded in my S7 for the Note 7 sowhy the heck would I go back to my original device that I owned and have to pay installments on it? I said this is all depending I can get current prior tothe 30th. He basically said good luck and that was that.
4th Discussion:
Same day I immediately called customer care and they toldmesimilar but turns out I wasonly 12$ past due smh.
5th Discussion:
Same day went down to the store and paid the 12$. Thinking I had no choice, Iexchanged my broken Note 7 for aNew S7 Edge. I was told once I exchanged it that was it and I cannot get the Note 7 when they recieve replacements. I told the lady I had no choice and made the switch.
6th Discussion:
Today I called customer care to make a payment and figured I would ask about the Note 7 again. This rep proceeds to tell me that even though I exchanged it for another device, I CAN STILL change it again for the Note 7 once available. She stated that the store rep advised incorrectly and that might have been the case at that moment in time but they have internal links and documents stores can reference saying we will replace it for all original Note 7 users regardless if they already exchanged it. So essentially she is saying I exchanged my original Note 7 for a new S7 Edge and can exchange it again for a new Note 7 once available.
I have read others being advised differently so post below your experiences and any related links or documents confirming my last discussion or call them yourselves and share what they advise to you!
I really hope I can get a Note 7 once available again as that is the phone I wanted and originally purchased but initial associates forced me to exchange by making it seem there was no other option on top of a strict deadline with 0 idea when new ones would be available.
She also said it would b3 possible to complete over the phone once they have replacement devices availablesoIcanavoid the storealtogether

I exchanged my Note 7 for an HTC 10 on Monday 9/12, the lady that helped me told me that i could go back and exchange the HTC 10 for a replacement Note 7 once they get them in stock. She said it would be one to two weeks and that i would have to keep checking in to see if they had them in, there was no wait list or anything like that.
But you're right, the in-store people mostly don't know. i had gone the day before, Sunday 9/11, and the person i talked to that day told me that i would have to hold onto my original Note 7 till they got replacements, that they weren't doing any exchanges.

yea man, theyre ridiculous for sure lol i am diggin the s7 edge but would definitely like to get the Note 7 back once in.. it wasnt our fault they recalled the device lol i am hoping when they get them in stock that i can just deal over customer service instead of the store.. he seemed oblivious still at the whole process.

Thing is how many were sold in Canada and they said up to 22,000 by end of month.
from what i have been reading on verizon forums I do believe you need to exchange your N7 for another device before Sept. 30th and once new N7 devices are available you can switch back.. ive been told this over the phone and many others onthe forums.. you can ONLY switch your exhanged "loaner" device for another N7 of course..
i really hope this is true and wish Verizon would post this process publicly if so

That's for sure the case and they can jerk you around all they want but it will happen. When I exchanged my Note for the HTC 10 they didn't have a list or anything but I made it clear in no uncertain terms I'd be dumping it on their counter for a Note 7 the day they returned. They completely agreed but there was no system in place. They were confused despite there being others there doing the same. Just check in every day do they have it? Show up with your phone. Problems? Keep asking to speak to a manager. You're not going to get answers ahead of time because they just don't know.

They completely agreed but there was no system in place. They were confused despite there being others there doing the same. Just check in every day do they have it? Show up with your phone. Problems? Keep asking to speak to a manager. You're not going to get answers ahead of time because they just don't know.

after an hour n 20min., she called the store and then in their policies it clearly states we can exchange n7 for another "interim" device and back to the n7 when available.
you can even trade the interim device for another non n7 but in that situation it would be a restocking fee.
she clearly documented my account with the store rep and their managers nameand all the details. I also recorded the entire conversation this time.
she also said vzw is supposed to notify us when they have them no later than the 21st but i surely will call them every day lol
luckily she called my store so when i go in i have names and documentation on my account.
the interim phone does need to be in good shape so dont damage your "loaner" lol
Nice. I have my loaner in a box, I hated it. I only kept it so I wouldn't get jerked around getting my 7 back. I do not believe they will call us, every news report said Verizon won't have a replacement for everyone on first pass and knowing them they will sell them to new customers too. I'm sure they had the largest initial sell through.

hopefully everyones buyin the Apples lol. i broke my initial n7 so best believe i bought a glass protector and a otterbox defender for my interim s7e just in case lmao
They still have no idea when they will be in. Could be up to a month is what she told me on phone despite Samsung's email. This whole experience has become so frustrating, maybe a different phone is the right idea. I had a moment of madness where I thought I'd go get the 7Plus to spite...myself? Ugh.

never would i even consider lol. if anything id go to another android.
they said no later than 21st and stores should have em as early as next week.. hopefully theyre being overnighted by Samsung lol

I just thought that you thought 21 was farther away. But yea some places might have it Monday the 19th.
