It hasn't been 14 days could I get all my money back plus the deposit I paid ??
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda app-developers app
Call sprint and ask.
Can anyone answer my question seriously please I just need to know.
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda app-developers app
I have found the chat option on sprints site to be a great alternative to a phone call or a trip to the store. but i imagine, the answer is yes you can take the phone back and get your money back. i have done it. there was an htc windows mobile phone years ago i got and took back less than 2 weeks after i bought it. it got horrid reception.
I don't see why you wouldn't just call sprint and ask...
Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 2
Within the 14 days you should be able to, but I'm 99% certain they will charge you the restocking fee. I don't think there were any other fees.
I thought about leaving when my contact was up last time, but I couldn't find anything better anywhere. Good luck with your switch, hope they let you or without too much hassle.
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda premium
You can cancel in the 1st 14 days. You will have to pay for the time you used it (a pro-rated ammount) but you will get the rest of the money back + your deposit (if you had to put one down.)
You MIGHT have to pay a restocking fee on the phone and you will lose your $36 line-activation-fee you had to pay too.
Just go into a Sprint store and tell them you are within your 14 days and you want to cancel.
If you return a device on a new line in the first 3 days you pay no service costs but subject to the restocking fee.
After the first 3 days but before 14 then you would still have to pay for the services uo to that point and a restocking fee.
The only way to avoid the restocking fee is if the device is defective.

It wasn't a smart comment. It was a legitimate statement. I am 100% you could have figured out the answer to your question by doing any of the listed methods that should be the first things you do before asking a question much quicker then posting a thread on XDA and then waiting for responses.
Your question was in regard to Sprint, so why not ask Sprint directly - there's a multitude of ways to contact them. And I know there are plenty people knowledgeable of Sprint's procedures here and I know some people work there as well but your question was for Sprint, what's the point of asking her unless you were unable to get an answer for who knows what reason.

Did it ever occur that he may bounce a few questions off others here in the appropriate place - the forum before contacting the service provider. There is no harm in that; if one might believe so, than simply do not respond.

How about you do your own due diligence instead of expecting someone to "wipe" for you as well. I mean, for the love of everything sensible, this is the sort of question that is solved by contacting the carrier via * 2, walking into a store or via the web. Anyone can say whatever on here (both correct and incorrect) and it wouldn't mean squat because at the end of the day the final decision is (between you and Sprint) the carrier.
Wouldn't you rather get the correct answer from the horse's mouth?
Be quick about it, it is actually only 13 days. They count the day of purchase as the first day so make sure you don't wait to long.
If you don't like the answers that were given, call Sprint. I'm not sure why you didn't just do that in the first place

Sprint said I gotta pay a Cancellation fee even within the 14 days she said it's like 350$ to do that. I'm not going that do I'm just going to stay on Sprint. But I thought I could return and cancel my plan within the 14 days for free. Because mostly all companies are like that

If he has Assurion through Sprint just go to Assurions website and make a claim. It will walk him through the steps.

You don't need to print anything. Just make the claim with the info it asks and they send you a phone. What did it ask you to print or fax? It probably said you can print the invoice for a receipt if you choose to, but you don't have to.

Also just throwing this out there. If he is trying to make a false claim and keep or sell the old phone and get a new one for $150 stop now. That is insurance fraud and he will get in trouble for it. Assurion is not stupid, they are an insurance company that has people that specialize in that stuff, just like all insurance companies they deal with fraud and illegal claims quite often. , it's not a good idea. But if it's a legit claim then answer the above questions I posted.

Hi all,
Over the past week I have been struggling with an inadvertent partial upgrade from MDL -> MF3 (The saga is in several other threads).
It left my phone soft bricked with only Odin mode avaliable. Samsung has not and apparently will not make the MF3 update available via kies.
In the end I made a warranty claim which AT&T honored with no argument or resistance.
The new phone (refurbished) arrived today.
It came with MF3 loaded.
Be aware that they are shipping phones already updated.
I do not know if this is true of the fresh (new) stock or only part of the refurb process...
Keep this in mind when making a warranty claim.
Good luck.

It's really sad to hear this, but thank you for sharing this with everyone. Very useful information when people are considering Warranty replacements right now.
Also, don't lose all hope, because the bounties are increasing, and Verizon apparently just got root again with their latest update. :fingers-crossed:
I have absoulute faith that a hole will be found.
My experience as a developer (started with a TRS-80 model 1 with 4k ram) has taught me that all programs have bugs/holes.
An old proverb taught me by a professor when I declared a program perfect on a PDP-11, written in Oregon Pascal "All programs have at least one bug and can be reduced by one instruction and therefore can be reduced to one instruction that does not work." :-O

So you trigger Knox and nothing else happens, just can't use it anymore.
No....just the fact that there is un-erasable proof that you have voided your warranty...... which, on a premium priced phone is a bad idea. I know that for most phone modders, triggering Knox is an acceptable risk, but for the few that have unrelated failures of the device.....to find that they have no recourse would be a REAL issue.......

Knox warranty shouldn't be the same as device warranty. It only means that you can't use it anymore.
Samsung never locked bootloader , they just add knox warranty void counter which is isn't restoreable to 0 outside Samsung service center
AFAIK this dont void warranty in all countries but it will in most of them
I'm pretty sure I've read that the device can't be used on some company/business networks if Knox has been triggered......
I'm pretty sure I've *also* read that Samsung are going to try to use it as a breach of warranty too......

Then it all goes down to how you approach them to request something. In the US it should be a hard time, but in the UE you are protected by the law, you can root your device freely. Here in Brazil they fixed my brick-bugged S2 under warranty.
Yeah....but a brick bugged device wouldn't power on, so there would be no way for Samsung to tell what OS you were using at the time it fried itself.......
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
So as long as you don't care about using Knox or voiding your warranty, you can still root the S5 and use custom ROMs/bootloaders, right? I couldn't care less about warranties or Knox. It's been about a decade since I've used a warranty on one of my phones.

If the phone was originally a developer edition, you can send it to Samsung for a reflash, if necessary. There should be proof that the phone is actually a developer edition (receipt from the seller), or IMEI and model number which should be SMN910VMKE. If the phone is still in warranty, they will most likely reflash it for free.

Good luck, I hope it is as described.
I had a similar experience, but the phone had a hardware defect, which was really questionable, however the seller had proof of purchase and the phone was in warranty.
Then, it took Samsung a month to fix the problem. First, they fixed the hardware issue by replacing the motherboard, screen, etc, but they flashed the retail software and it came locked. I had to call them second time and speak with someone from the repair center and explain clearly and repeatedly that the bootloader should be unlocked as it's a developer edition.
After a long month and 2 trips, it's running great, how all the Note 4 should run, no ads, tethering, etc.

You will like the phone. I run Jasmine rom with Nova launcher, there is no lag, much smoother than stock TouchWiz. I tried Morom, I liked it, but I couldn't get rid of Google services error. I tried everything I could think of.

I had planned on running Morom actually. I'll look into Jasmine. There's not a whole lot to choose from really from what I've seen. I'm just looking mainly for reliability because I use my phone for pretty much everything.

Same here, I need it to be reliable, I just couldn't put up with the random errors in Morom. Let me know if you get it to work. I tried reading through the thread, a lot of people complain about them, not sure about the fix.
Feature wise, I liked Morom.

I want one! $480 is a good deal.
EBAY and swappa both have slim pickings.
I would guess bad ESN is rare, unless reported stolen.

Yeah who cares about the OS. I haven't seen much change since ICS.
Are all the touch wiz roms for DE based on 4.4.4?

No, Morom and Jasmine are based on latest Lollipop (BOG5).
