Hi,
I'm new to Android Game Development and I was wondering how to create a game menu for the game that contains Levels and Stuff. Please post a step to step Guide.
Regards,
Tripplemin
USE SEARCH!!!
And do not double post!
We on xda are not the people who you can ask everything. Search for easy things like that. If you get serious problems you cannot solve by searching, ask here. If they are as easy as that, use Google.
EDIT: Link to the other thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265670
EDIT: Reported.
As above, please don't create multiple threads for the same thing.

Hi guys !!
My humble suggestion is that the moderator should put up a new sticky which has links to the various .cab files so that searching becomes easy because the search feature doesnt seem to search the attachment in threads.
One more suggestion is that another sticky can be put which lists the various common problems with the relating threads.
Eg.
Sound Problems :
Thread link
Thread link ....... and so forth
This would make this site more user friendly
By the way I just wanna thank all you guys for the work you people have done !!
(Specially abusalza for his N-Touch Rom !! Lolz)

believe by just using a much refined search would do the trick, no need for such special thread. click on my sig and try to search. it's much precise
Guys,
Looking through this thread, it is becoming increasingly hard to find the latest builds from our favorite chefs; JesusFreke/Haykuro/TheDude.
Could I put forward a suggestion that we create some Sub-Forums, moderated by said chefs, for there builds/news/related questions. This might make it easier to find the info we need.
Just a quick suggestion, wondered what we all thought.
Asked that from the admin and the simple answer is no =(
if you'd like you can create a thread, if you are willing to keep it updated, list all the cookers and their rom versions.
So to your question sub-forums will not be created, sorry.

Well no to sub-forums but why can't moderator like yourself make the Threads of new roms into sticky threads so they're always on top.

I posted a link to a list but a Mod deleted it. Not sure if it was because of general housekeeping or if it was because the list was on a google dev site.

I got my evo replaced through the sprint insurance company and I want to root it. the only problem is I cant find evo-root.zip anywhere. I searched in these forums and on the web and the only source I can find it from is evo4g.me and that site apears to be down.
does anyone know of any mirrors?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695878
how is that helpful phatmanxxl? did you find it using the search bar? if so could you please tell me what search terms you used, because as I mentioned in my opening post the only source I can find it from both on these forums and using google is from evo4g.me which happens to be down.
now lets try again:
does anyone know where of any mirrors for this file?
Face-palm...
dude.. please read what he sent you..
a: its not as simple as a zip file(kinda, and a evo-root.zip never existed).. read what Poster #2 suggested
b: Wrong section to post this question (as per the link Poster #2 suggested)
c: read a:
d: Use the Search.. Properly.. and look for "Root" or even "unrevoked"
Im not trying to flame you.. but you will have people here flame you out of existence for this question..
Moved to General as not development.
Don't post questions in development.
Reading the stickies will give you a link to the wiki, which links you to the unrevoked guide.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=HTC_Supersonic/Guides_&_Tutorials
Sorry I didn't answer your question, there is no EVO.zip.

...than do 10 Spam posts, to unlock Dev Area...
I read a lot, and found a post I wanted to thank him in the topic of my ROM. I registered just to find out, that you need at least 1 Post to thank. Ok, no problem. The last post was someone asking a question I could answer anyways. So i clicked on reply...
Please Read: New members (those with fewer than 10 posts) are not permitted to post to development-related forums. The developer forums are intended for experienced users and developers to discuss ways to improve technical aspects related to ROMs and Software. While you may be an expert, we ask ALL users to avoid posting questions about using or installing ROMs and software in the Development Forums. To encourage this new Users can read but not post in these forums.

I can understand that, I just wanted to point that out (and do my first post to do thanks ).
It would be cool to have another possibilty. Maybe a quiz or something like that to test qualifications.

+1 don't just post to get post count up. Find something useful to say or just +1 to ten posts lol that's more bearable than spammers

Well, I finding a bit difficult to understand your thread...I don’t see point of unlocking the Dev area unless you are in the field. As far as I am concern the dev area will not give me much, especially with the silly questions I am still to ask.
"...to test qualifications..." what is the point? Many like me turn to XDA to find an answer to a problem and likely will to have the knowledge to stand an examination.
To finalize, my idea with the thread was to provide some information, there are plenty of people going under with their phones due to stupid mistakes.
People stuffing the forum with “spam” threads should check themselves, do a full wipe and then reboot…if you know what I mean.
one additional suggestion: "[GUIDE] How to Flash ICS and Survive"
This is what I said:

This is what really happened:
I registered [because i wanted to thank a post]. I logged in (after email confirmation) and searched for the thank button, but couldn't find it. So i went to google picture search, typed in "xda thank button" (there is always at least one person making a screenshot and a arrow on it) and found http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1590190
and on page 2:
It works now - seems that one at least needs one post before "Thanks" is unlocked.
So...nothing for quiet readers like me

Why should I have made a new topic about it?
I usually search first at google, than xda (because of localisation) and when I still haven't found an answer there have already 3 hours passed and I might really have a problem/question noone else ever had before.
Forums are no chat. Every Question and their answers will be saved. Asking a question again and waiting for answers takes usually much longer than just google it.
Just as example the first Post in Q&A of the Note:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1741889
Me: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=small+screen+scratch+smartphone
i.have been going through the forum looking for the rooting instructions for the leo. if someone could point me in the right directions I would appreciate it.
Sent from my BlackBerry Runtime for Android Apps using Tapatalk 2
See the two guides in my sig about the HD2. First read the guide to the terms then read the Android installation guide. You can't 'root' an HD2. Please search before posting next time.

Thank you for your response.
Would it be possible to help people without calling them stupid. And as I stated I did search and nowhere did I find it can't be rooted. Now that I know that and have the thread, again thank you.

Where did I call you stupid? If you'd searched well, you'd have easily found that all HD2 Android ROMs come rooted as stock, and that you can't 'root' Windows Mobile. I refuse to believe that you did a proper search before posting, because literally 10 seconds of SEARCHING gave me this thread, in which it is quite clearly stated in the fifth post that all Android ROMs come pre-rooted. Now I consider you to be stupid for saying that I originally called you stupid when I didn't call you stupid.
You signature
I searched for "rooting" I also looked for titles with Rooting in the stickies and didn't see it. I found plenty of roms but not the typical rooting thread in the stickies. Now I know why. It doesn't need rooting.
Something more helpful would be a stating the reason you can't find "rooting" instructions is it is not typical of these devices and doesn't require it. Please see this thread (link) for instructions on installing roms. Enjoy.
That's how decent understanding adult humans communicate. Not what is in your signature.
If you couldn't find that guide (either through searching via forum search or even browsing the NAND Dev stickies) then you are indeed an idiot, which is why I put it in my sig. If you really want, I'll remove it. This phone comes with WinMo, how did you expect to root it when it doesn't have Android on it? I can't root a sat nav or a toaster, how can I root a WinMo phone when it doesn't have Android? It's fairly simple logic. Finally, if you can't handle the word 'stupid' you really shouldn't be on the internet.
Leave it. It will warn others to what they are dealing with.
