[Q] Where is the international layout on the ASUS on-screen keyboard? - Eee Pad Transformer General

As a resident of Norway I'd like to have a Norwegian layout on the on-screen keyboard. The standard Android keyboard has it, but the ASUS keyboard doesn't. The Norwegian dictionary in the ASUS keyboard is quite good - but its useless without our local characters æøå (which is missing in the layout). The Android on-screen keyboard seems to be missing the Norwegian dictionary (it only get hits from the contact list!).
Does anyone know how to get anything else that the US layout on the ASUS on-screen keyboard? And does anyone know what happened to the Norwegian dictionary on the Android on-screen keyboard?

No idea on the dictionary, but for the norwegian letters, I imagine its similat to the swedish version. Press the a/o and hold it for a bit, and you will get options, including swedish/norwegian letters.

The same is for true for ASUS Finnish keyboard - no direct umlauts and long pressing a/o is a subpar solution.
I use Swedish Android keyboard when typing on-screen and switch to ASUS Finnish keyboard when using Scandinavian keyboard dock, because the keyboard dock is not functioning properly when stock Android keyboard is selected as the input type (pressing "ä" on keyboard equals ";" in produced text).
Bit inconvenient, glad that it is quite quick to change the input type.

ON-SCREEN KEYBOARD - WHERE IS THE "?"

I prefer using the on-screen keyboard with the enlarged keys, and with the "space" key.
The problem is, that I can't find the "?". So everytime I have to ask a question, I have to change the input method - that is so irritating. I have to say, that my keyboard is scandinavian - so maybe they had to sacrifice the "?" for the local letters we have.
But, if the "?" is there on the keyboard - then do somebody know where it is hidden? And if not, is it posible in changing the layout/some letters - in a simple and easy way?
On an English keyboard the ? is accessed via the shift key.
Unfortunately that is not the case om the scandinavian keyboard. Maybe it is because there are not enough keys - since they have to include three letters more than the english (æ, ø and å).
But they have included signs like: "["
A sign most people rarely use, but a "?" people use all the time. :?
Do they ? ;-)
Sorry I have no idea, but couldn't resist.

HD2 Swype, Swedish keyboard layout?

I see on Swype that Swedish is now available as a language-pack.. anyone who has been able to get the new packs working with the version for HD2 (version 5032)?
I love swype, but it feels a bit wasted to start building a personal dictionary when it will be lost as I eventually switch to the Swedish one (and characters I need like å, ä, æ, ö and ø are not available in the english one)

[Q] Non-English keyboard layout

Not yet gotten my A501 (hopefully tomorrow), but started wondering: is there a way to use non-english layout on stock keyboard, or if not, which keyboard from market would you recommend? As here in Finland we have all these weird characters... Ä, Ö and Å. If too many keypresses are needed to get them, taking notes is going to be pain

Click to collapse
The normal keyboard doesn't have Finnish, but there's Swedish. The space bar says Svenska, that's the only difference to a Finnish layout. So no need to download anything.

[Q] Hardware keyboard, non US keyboard layout

Hi, i have LG Quantum with Mango. And I need to use not only English keyboard layouts(English, Russian etc). Using hardware keyboard was a prior goal in my phone. I try many manipulation with configuration but find out that only English and German keyboard layout can be switched on hardware keyboard. On-screen keyboard work perfect. But even when i'm on software keyboard switch to Russian, and than open hardware keyboard its automatically switch to English layout. May be there are any option to edit registry or some DLL's to use other layouts in hardware???
Thanks

[Q] Charset of BT keyboard with Samsung keyboard

Hello,
I've bought Microsoft bluetooth keyboard, which by default it has German characters.
As screen keyboard I'm using Samsung keyboard in two languages Polish and English (US).
In English everything is okay, I have correct charset of keyboard with '@' above '2' etc.
In Polish there are some problems.
Normally, there are 2 keyboard charset '214' and 'programmer'.
Almost everybody uses 'programmer' charset as default, but unfortunately, Samsung decided to use '214' charset.
So with this screen keyboard I don't have Polish characters with BT keyboard in proper positions.
Do you have any ideas how to change charset to 'programmer' without changing screen keyboard?
Thanks in advance
