i want to sync my contact but i dont know how to sync it onto microsoft outlook. can some one assist me
You need to export your contacts as DOS CSV from Outlook, then log into your google account and import the contacts....this will then sync to your phone.
Google have released Outlook Calender sync software, ( http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=89955 ) so I hope they will create something similar for contacts....
buy gSyncit. It's cheap and good, does all you need.
And if you want push email using exchange download Touchdown
I just joined the android family.
And i was wondering is there is a easy way to import my contacts with pictures and appointments and sms messages from my xperia to my magic?
thnx!
Its a few steps sadly...
1. Sync your winmo with your pc and outlook, this will get your calendar and contacts in outlook.
2. export your contacts as a csv file and then import into google using web interface. Tip create a group for your phone contacts, as by default google syncs everyone you have ever emailed. I call mine 'Phone Contacts'. On the handset you can say only sync contacts in xxx groups. This way they stay nice. You can then reassign your contacts photos in the web contacts page. These will sync down to your phone.
3. install google sync (http://dl.google.com/googlecalendarsync/GoogleCalendarSync_Installer.exe), this will then sync your outlook calendar with google, which will then sync with your phone
As for sms etc, sorry can't help you there. But you might want to look at this (http://code.google.com/p/android-sms/) sms backup program. stores all your sms's in google under a label called SMS.
Thanks

I dont see why not..
http://www.vufone.com/ supported windows mobile and android handsets.
sync using winmo, then do a full download using Android.
Granted its not free, but its an excellent took to use, and for $20 per year it can't be knocked!
Try it out... 14 day free trial http://www.vufone.com/
this is a newbie question.. how can i insert all my contacts from mu htc diamond to htc magic?
Save the contacts from your Diamond on the SIM card and tell the Magic to import contacts from it.
they are over 350... sim doesn't fit so much..
Maybe you can sync them to your computer? HTC Sync? I guess it is available for the Diamond.
i am workin' on that.. i i'll tell you in a minute what happened.. thanx in advance!
still nothing.... any other idea?
1. Export as CSV in Outlook or from phone
2. Open Gmail Account
3. Import Contacts
4. Sync Phone With Gmail (Google Account) Import Contacts
Worked for ME
do you have any program to export my contacts as csv?
I hate to break it to you, but you all failed miserably.
1. Sync with your gmail account your contacts and calendar via activesync (google sync).
2. Sync new Google branded Android phone with your Gmail account.
3. ???
4. Profit.
You guys need to really be aware of everything that is out there.
Hello,
Today I just few mins. ago got my new HTC Wildfire, it was launched today in India. I don't have my old phone (Nokia E-72) as it was stolen. I have synced my contacts on zyb.com but they don't have HTC Wildfire listed on their website. So i have exported the contacts to VCF format.
1. How do I import the VCF into the Wildfire ?
2. Does HTC provides any PC suite like Nokia does ?
Thanks.

The best way to get your contacts onto your phone would be to...
Make a Google Mail account
Upload your contacts to your mail account
Link your phone with your new/existing Gmail account
Watch your contacts magically appear
As for a sync suite, There is one, but I have never used it.

Is there an easy way to import my contacts from Windows Mobile to Android? Without to copy first all my contacs to my Sim?
No. Dont think so.
I had all my contacts on my google account. On WM I did exchange so it synced all my contacts. With Android, I just logged in and it auto. synced my contacts.
Fastest way and most easiest way!

with telephonenumber picture etc.? if there is no other way, i'm going to spend a little bit of my time by typing all them down in there :-D
Simple.
1) ActiveSync to outlook or windows contact.
2) export to csv file
3) import csv file to google contacts.
4) android uses all the google contacts automatically. Bingo.
how i did mine -
setup an activesync with your gmail account
http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=138636&topic=14299
manually select sync to get the process started, now your contacts will be in your gmail account
verify on the gmail account to make sure all the contacts are there
boot into android, your gmail contacts will start showing up in the phone
thank you guys! perfekt
