some apps doesn't appear in the market after update - XPERIA X8 General

there are some missing apps from the market after i updated to 2.1
one of them is ebuddy which i installed back on 1.6 normally.
i even downloaded ebuddy from getjar.com but the phone refused to install it(application not installed).
another app is dr droid ,it doesn't show up in market search.
does anyone know the solution or is it norma?

Try mymarket.

some apps are made only for 1.6 and they don't work on 2.1, so market on 2.1 will not display apps for 1.6, maybe is that the reason

I have the same problem after updating to 2.1 (rooted version). I can't find ICQ, eBuddy, Trillian and Beejive on the market. What could be the problem?

go to settings > applications > installed applications
find market select it and choose uninstall updates. then start the market and close it and it will install the latest market again.
worked for me

I did as you said, but I still cannot find the apps on the market. Can you find any of them?

Did you try to delete the storage thingy below uninstall updates?

I flashed back to an older version of 2.1 and still can't find ICQ, eBuddy or Trillian on the market. It must have something to do with the apps, not with the firmware.
EDIT: I found the reason why eBuddy won't install: Since the new version of eBuddy it requires an autofocus-enabled camera, as you can see inside its AndroidManifest.xml-file. The X8 just has a fixed focus camera, so eBuddy won't install.

what about firefox can't see it either

If your baseband is 006 you should change it to 015 look for a thread in the development section there should be a guide in there to help you change it that solved my problems when i had them

Try to format cache. should work..
@dweller2
well i faced this issue in standard 2.1 rom too, i found that it has something to do with gtalk, so i will suggest you to setup ur google account 1st then open gtalk & then install the market apps
Things you should try:
Check your wi-fi
Re-sync Google. Try signing-in to Gtalk or Gmail
Clear cache
Re-install ROM
Reboot

I had the same problem but all I did was reboot.
still not work for me,only official 2.1 can download from market. ngebetein bet
sorry for my noob question..How do I flash the baseband after downloading it?
Should i flash it from xRecovery? And how do I flash the custom rom with the *.rar bcoz it could not be detected in the xRecovery?
Many thanks and appreciation for helps.....

Tried to re-install the rom, clear the cache and sync with google.
I am able to download market apps via 3g, but not Wifi.
Gtalk and Gmail do work with Wifi.
EDIT: The wifi network at my workplace seems to be part of the problem. Gtalk does NOT work through it, but Gmail does work.
My colleague has a HTC Desire with Android 2.2 and he cannot login to Gtalk, but can download apps from Market unlike me. I don't get it.
I will try another wifi net tonight.
Nope for me, market works fine. You should try MiniCM by ponanovn it has new market and i use it now.

Alright, tell us how that works out. =D
With another wifi the market app works. Seems like the Market app in this custom rom uses also another ports beside http, and these are blocked on my workplace wifi network.
Anyway, I reversed back to official 2.1, because I had 3 random reboots in one day. Way too much for my taste. Will wait till one of the custom roms gets really stable.
Thank you all for help.

Install Apps from Google Web Market??

Hi!
I have a tattoo, with nFinity GB 0.92.
Works perfect.
When i try to install apps from web market, the web market do not allow to install them because it detects i have a tattoo.
There is no problem with the OS as it is GB.
So, is there any way to install them form web market?
maybe cheating some file?
any idea?
thanks!!.
Try market enabler, maybe this will help. It's very useful app.
Are you sure tattoo is supported by this app?

What do you mean?.
I will tery again.
There are some apps (this do not happen with all apps, just some), that requiere OS 2.1 or 2.2.
Since my Tattoo is using GB, that means 2.2.3 this apps its supose that will work.
My problem is:
When i try to install them form the market, using my desktop computer, the web market do no let me to install them. It It says that my device is not supported.
Even more, if i get the APK file from other way than the market, i copy the file to my SD, then i can install it on my Tattoo form its file explorer.
1. Could it be because the webmarket, asumes that Tattoo uses Andorid 1.6 by default and thats the reason it dont let to install?.
2. I dont this it is a Screen Resolution problem, because it happen with common applications. I could understant it will happen with HD games.
3. So, The BIG DEAL, Is there any way to cheat the android web market so it thins i have a diferent device than a Tattoo, maybe a desire?
THANKS,
some apps won't install on tattoo no matter which version you got...

I think you didnt understand what i mean.
If i get the APK file anywhere and i copy to my SD card, i can install it, working fine.
If i try to install tha app from the web market, the web market tells that my device is not supported.
So, is there any way of cheating the market, or the device, so the web market thinks i have, i.e. a Desire and so let me intall the app, from the web market?

HTC Wildfire not loading new apps on market

Hi,
I have an HTC wildfire 2.2.1 froyo.
I visited the Android market via my pc and found apps that were not on my Android market. When I searched some apps that I goin on my pc's market, it told me "not found" pls tell me how to find the newer apps on the market.
Thanks.
On the PC, you will be able to see all apps, without any restrictions. This is not so on the Wildfire, which can only show compatible apps. Obviously, many apps will not be shown because they are not compatible with the older processor, no GPU, QVGA resolution etc.

Maybe the app u searched is once present in the market and now removed from the market due to any issues.
As u were on official froyo u r using unpatched market on the phone which only shows wildfire compatible apps. And the pc version shows every application, but even it is not much useful as u cannot install the unsupported apps again. Pc android market just lets u know the presence of any wildfire unsupported apps.

Android Market v3.3.11 Update

Hi readers.
I've got a weird update method for the Android Market. The Android Market version on my phone was 3.2.0 before the v3.3.11 update. I didn't know there was an update for Android Market until I went to the Application Information of Android Market, I forced closed it, cleared its data and cache. I opened the Android Market app and realized it looked different from before, I went to the Settings of Android Market and saw the version was updated from 3.2.0 to 3.3.11.
I cleared the data of Android Market was to solve the problem of missing downloaded apps on 'My apps' section, this method definitely works for me.
I just want to share my experience with all of you, and hope this method works for u guys if u have problems updating the Android Market on your phone.
What ROM and Kernel I am using, you can find it on my signature.
Thanks for reading. =)
I have old market and killed updater....new ones are toooo laggy ;]
This update is much faster than previous ones, u may want to try it. Before you try this, you may want to backup your old Android Market by using Titanium Backup(I highly recommend this app) or other apps that can backup and restore apps.
There's one bad thing about the New Android Market, it is not able to download multiple apps at the same time, but the Old Android Market is able to.

Well... I stay on old one

Android without market isn't Android...I don't want upgrade to 2.3.3 because I'll miss sense (I've previously tried cyanogenmod 7 rom)..Can someone help me?
Download Market 3.4.4.apk from my dropbox and install it: http://db.tt/a5QsFbKg
You can also use other apps to update Androidmarket each time a new release comes out.
I hope to check out was useful to you.
