I have just bought a HTC Touch Dual in India. Phone seems fine. Is it possible to upgrade the OS to WM 6.5?
Secondly how do i do a full format / reset on this one?
I also want to kow all about the phone. Since i didnt get a manual with mine is it possible for anyone to give me a link to come useful info?
Last.. Can someoen post the link to the original CD pleasE? I want to download that.

Hi all,
i have big problem with my PDA - Fujitsu Siemens N520. After the install of a new software my PDA wanted restart and after that it freezed just before WM logo I tried hard reset but it doesn't work. This forum is my last hope because nobody knows nothing for my problem ... only one man told me that there was a program (or something like that) called bootloader wich can load some kinf of safe mod to my PDA that i can connect it using Active Sync and flash the firmware ... pls help and sorry for my english ...
Really sorry for you, but it's not even an HTC model is it? This site is purely for HTC rebranded models.

Sounds to me like you need to enter the bootloader via the special key combinations (i don't know it sorry) and reflash a ROM (also dont know how to get)

I was wondering what steps I should ensure to take to make sure that I dont turn it into a brick, I could do with a complete guide! I've also been told that i'll need to run the Artermus USPL program after connecting the phone. But any help and advice would be a great help. Is there anyway to backup the phone in the state it is at present if or if it doesnt go wrong?

Hello guys!I bought a htc hd2 phone here in germany without any branding,only to find out that one could not change the language to English.After making a lot of research online i Found out that all windows mobile phones are specific to the countries where one buys them
So guys i honestly need your help.I am hoping that someone here could tell me please what steps i should follow to
1) flash my rom on the htc hd2.
2) which ROM should i use (that has english?)
3)and what precautions i should take

I am looking for the same answer as you do, Realy love the phone however hate the software and would love to use an android ROM myself if its possible. I just did not fugure out how yet... I see it should be possible somehow, just not sure whether our model fits in there as well. And im not going to try out unless I am certain it's possible. However if you find out before I do, please PM me

i have htc t8282 phone it's in french i want to change it into english i've been reading how to flash a new rom on the website i think i can do it but i have couple of questions
1= how do know the exact rom for htc 8282 phone?
2= my phone is currently locked do i need to unlock the phone first before flashing or cooking the new rom?

T8282 is an HD/Blackstone, it does not need to be unlocked but check this guide to make sure you don't brick your device. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505377
