Samsung Galaxy help - Android Software Development

hello all,
yes i know this forums not for samsung but i have just got a i7500 galaxy which ive rooted and its working perfectly (well except it refuses to ackknowledge half my music exists on my microsd) and im wondering if anyone would be willing to try and help me port cyanogenmod to this device. as the standard rom is useless
i have a linux system available to compile on if need be
help appreciated
thanks

hello
the only solution at the moment for the galaxy is to install galaxo rom, check it here :
http://forum.hdblog.it/showthread.php?t=5348

unfortunatly that doesnt help me as its still based on cupcake which for some insane reason refuses to recognise all my music correctly(it sees it all but half it will not read the id3 tags for so gets marked as unknown) my g1 on the other hand sees everything perfectly. doesnt matter as much now as i have a nokia n800 and it sees everything fine (and do oh so much more)

well its still based on cupcake because samsung didn't develop any donut drivers specifics to the galaxy hardware yet

Andriod on a Treo 750

sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place...
I'm very new to android, but I recently played with a friend's G1 running Android 2.1 and fell in love with the OS, and now I want to put Android (don't really care which version, anything is better than WinMo 5) onto my Palm Treo 750 on the AT&T network. what would I need to know in order to accomplish this?
Because my contract is up in a little under a month, I do not mind if I brick my phone that much - I can just switch back to my old Treo 650 until I can get a new phone dirt cheap when I renew.
I'm even willing to try out an experimental code that someone is trying to debug.
My one restriction is because I'm running 64-bit Windows 7, I can't directly sync my phone with my computer, I have to be able to run the upgrade to Android from a 2Gb Micro SD card.
So any suggestions?
and thanks in advance,
Odin
You could try to download and follow the instructions on: AndroidOnHtc.
I had luck just trying to HaRET.exe on different versions.
I wouldn't however ditch the CE 5.0 just yet. Without official handset manufacturer support it is unlikely to get all the features working.
Here is a List of features I have seen not working on some devices:
WiFi (actually on most)
GPS
Sound (for example on the touch pro 2)
Bluetooth (not that I care)
Screen resolution (especially if just using a Bundle designed for a different device.)
Let us know how you get on. So far I have only seen it running on HTC devices. So good luck.

Don't use WiFi, GPS, or Blue Tooth, so all I have to really worry about (other than bricking) is sound and screen resolution.
As for only working HTC phones, from what I've read, the Treo 750 is essentially a re-packaged HTC phone - though I cannot remember which one they cited.
Thanks, I'll check out that link and keep everyone appraised is I manage to get it up and running.

[Q] So I've installed android on a laptop, and I need some help/advice

Here's the story: I've had a Fujitsu Lifebook T4020D http://www.small-laptops.com/fujitsu-lifebook-tablet-t4000d-t4020d/ for just about 2 years now, and I love the little thing (although I'm using my asus 17-incher atm) and I've decided to take a crack at running android on it. I've managed to get 1.6 and also 2.2 to boot on it. Everything seems to work just fine on 1.6 (including wifi) and 2.2 runs okay, but I keep getting an error for wifi under wireless settings (can it be fixed?). The big thing that I would like to accomplish is to be able to utilize the tablets touchscreen (active digitizer, I believe) and I have no idea how to or even if it's possible to port the drivers to android. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Maybe the GUI in the android 2.2 build that you have doesn't support wifi properly - (Maybe it has a bug). You could check this page to get one which does: http://www.android-x86.org/. Hope this helps.

[Q] Find 5, MTP and music Sync

Hello. I got my Find 5 like two weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with it, coming from an awesome Galaxy S2 that was sadly getting to the end of his noble life, but there are still a couple of things that annoyingly I can't figure out.
I've been trying to sync some music playlists from my Ubuntu install, with Rhythmbox and Banshee, but neither of those detect the device. At first I thought it was a problem on the PC/Ubuntu/application side, but I've tried all the troubleshooting I've come up with with no result at all. My computer does not detect the phone as a music device, period.
Do I need the special USB drivers (which in turn would mean that I need Windows ¬¬)? Have anyone tried this with any success, either on Windows or Linux?
Thanks a lot.

[Q] Samsung Smart Dock and OmniROM?

Hello team. I can't seem to find an official support page, I installed OmniROM 4.4.2 20140418 for Note 2 N7100 and I am extremely pleased with it, everything is working smoothly.
The only issue I have is that my Samsung Smart Dock just arrived yesterday and doesn't seem to recognize it at all, it only charges the phone, there's no notification about the dock, no video output and no detection of other usb accessories, the 9mm audio output doesn't work neither.
It's working with my dad's untouched S4, so I came to the conclusion it had to do something with OmniROM.
I have looked thoroughly into this problem in the forum and Google but haven't seen anyone address it directly.
Any support or workaround would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work!

Who knows - maybe support isn't in the kernel, or for audio, the audio HAL is missing support for it.
Problem is that supporting this requires there to be a maintainer who owns the accessory - and right now, the Note 2 maintainer is a bit inexperienced (he's learning, but he still has quite a bit to learn) and he also doesn't own that accessory.

Connecting a dualshock 4 to this phone (LG Stylo 2 Plus)

Hello and good afternoon. I just joined the community to seek for help and to look arround for cool stuff
Well, there is my problem:
I'm looking forward to use my dualshock 4 with my phone, but even if the device connects to it successfully, no input is recognized, this leaving the controller unusable until i disconnect it. No matter how much times i have tried (even with different IME apps) it won't recognize the controller inputs.
Is therd a workarround for this? My previous phone recognizes the controller fine and i have seen other lg phones using a dualshock 4 with no problems
My phone rom is stock (non rooted) running android 6.0.1
Thanks in advance!
As far as I can tell the Sony framework files don't seem to be included in this phone. However if you decide to root magisk seems to be the way to go for you as there is a download module called Sony framework that seems to add the framework files you would need for the duelshock 3 and 4
I don't know what that is.. Lol.. I'm sorry. But I'm sure it's awesome sauce...
You need root and this app:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscontroller
Works perfectly
