Im completely new to this. I need a guide on how to upgrade my elfin (yes i have managed to identify it is this one) on t mobile uk running wm6.0 to wm6.1. Please can someone give me a link to a guide or instructions on how to do this? They need to complete as I don't know what im doing.

Hi folks, I am new to all of this, so If I have some absurd questions, forgive me. But I need help.
I have t-mobile MDA I and I would like to update it's ROM to WM2003, but i did not found any update from my (base) version (Rom v3.16.48 ENG Radio v3.19.00) to wm2003 :? . Where can I find this update, or which update can I use to update my OS on the device?

If it is really this Version, could you be so kind and make a backup fo the ROM?

You should be able to install every available ROM.
So these are no updates, cause such thing is not available, but are fresh ROMs like a new installation of a PC. ;-)
So keep in mind, that all data on the device will be lost.

Hi gud people of XDA-Dev. Please i need a little help here, a friend of mine just got an XDA which has a dutch ROM and so he cant use the pda effectively.
Please can someone kindly point out the BEST & LEAST COMPLICATED way to go about downloading & changing the Rom to an english and updated one.

Are you sure you have a dutch ROM?
Which ROM Version do you have? And you are sure you have a Wallaby device?

(easiest way is using EXE-File)
- make a hard reset of the device
- reconnect the device using ActiveSync
- run the Exe-File on you PC
- Follow the instructions on your Monitor
- Enjoy the new ROM

Hi i am very new at this, i've read a lot of post on how to upgrade Wm 6.0 to my orbit, but I am still very comfused about CID unlock and things like that. yes it is possible...but with other rom,so find one that is wm6.1

to unlock the CID follow the instructions in

and then choose a room you need (since you want WM6.1 for orbit) it will be not official, so you need to find a rom you want and then flash it.

or try pcarvalho´s, kosta´s rom also in english (WWE)
or salvy.c.83 italien rom or nikkito spanish rom....

oh no...no.... i thought you search a guide for upgrade to wm 6.5...you have a touch cruise 2...also known as Iolite....so here is a link to the rom development

I have a colleague with an O2 Xda Orbit 2 which was the reason I asked. Thanks for the link to the development Alexander.
For my O2 Xda, I'm having problems flashing with the Hard-SPL2. I do exatly as the instructions tell me. Good USB connection through ActiveSync, but when the Guide reboots to start the flash process I get the ERROR [260] : CONNECTION. Please help?

don´t know if hard spl is for all phones the same...but i think not...so search in the iolite rom thread for this
