Hermes (TILT) copy for $200!! W/TV antenna & more features. -> HTC CLONES <-
I just saw this page:
http://tiltsite.com/2008/04/would-the-real-htc-tytn-ii-att-tilt-please-step-forward/
and it looks like there are TILT clones for much cheaper prices.

I cant find anything about the CPU or the Radio version - I wonder if it's the same internally
the camera is only 1.3Meg - but it has dual sim, TV, and more features
what do you guys think?

It's definitely not a Kaiser, not even a Hermes...
A cheap copy at best
According to Dealextreme.com:
"- OS Note: while the interface may resemble Windows Mobile,it appears to be a proprietory OS and not Windows Mobile."
"- MicroSD/TF memory card slot supports maximum 1GB memory"
On the other hand it does seem to have a dual sim an tv tuner (ntsc) both not available on the real thing + it's half the price of a Hermes....
I say: if you can afford it, go for the original HTC (either Hermes or Kaiser)

It also only supports gsm, NOT 3G. I do believe it was tri-band though... Its all over ebay, just do a search for mobile phone with tv...
Have a workmate who got one off ebay for $0.99 with $40 delivery to australia. NOT Windows os and pretty basic. Can be a proper mongrel to find what you want and still hasn't figured out how to turn the ringtone down to fog horn yet either (supposed to be set on lowest setting before off, YIPES!!!)
Cheers...

never trust anything that is a cheap knockoff with wang cryptically hidden in the name... even if it starts with A

Wizard clone????

Looks alot like a wizard gone through a minority report treatment

What's Win CE 5 Pro plus? Looks V3ed and as said Minority Report'd and something else...looks good but with ARM11 (no particular implementation named nor any clock speed given) and 1GB of Memory + full SD card usability, a TV out and WiBro, it sure as heck l ooks like an interesting device.
Interestingly enough two d pad layouts on the slide out keyboard so I hope the screen is sufficent for navigation.
It's also 1,000,000 times better looking than the Wizard, very sexy if you ask me.
Plus T-DMB for digital TV on the go, very nice indeed.
WVGA in a screen that small is hard to believe....
Still, very cool device. Much thinner than a Wizard. I'd buy one in a minute except for the fact that there's no d-pad unless you extend the kbd. Do you suppose d-pad functionality is somehow encompassed by the two buttons on the top and bottom? It almost looks like one does left-right and the other does up-down. I wonder how softkeys work.....
If they put a phone in it it would be worth a look at, who whats to carry two devices when you can have one, I think somebody forgot the phone part.
Looks trick though.

Not exactly; it seems designed for VoIP so I wouldn't exactly expect a GSM/CDMA/UMTS transciever in it. WiBro seems to be in there for that exact purpose.

HTC X7500 (Advantage) –Reviewed-
If you think this device is too big for a phone or if you are the guy who told me its one-handed use is terrible, please stand up. You are dismissed. You may go now. Thank you for your time.
Now for the rest of you, my intent in this review is to focus on the X7500’s usability.
There are really only two things about this device that make it different from other Windows Mobile devices. It has an 8gb hardrive, and most importantly it has a 5 inch screen. This is one of the most significant changes we have seen in a Windows Mobile device. There have been lots of innovative changes made to converged devices, but few in the area of mobile computing. With the X7500 I like to call it “non-desktop computing” The 5 inch screen enhances the viewing capabilities of Windows Mobile by leaps and bounds, as I will show later with screen shots and pictures.
Before I get too far into this review I want thank Paul and Igor of SuperiorGadgets for putting the device in my hands for a few days so I could review it.
The complete review is posted here:

Excellent review! I agree with nearly everything you stated. Thanks.
I love the color. The only reason I could consider giving back my Dopod U1000...
Radio
What's the phone signal like on the u1000? I had a universal qtek 9000 and the phone signal was always weak. I finally stop using it. The u1000 would have to have a good signal.

iPhone screen on WinMo?

This sounds stupid but is it possible to hook up an OEM iPhone LCD screen http://cnn.cn/shop/apple-iphone-complete-digitizer-p-1863.html to a WinMo device? WinMo6 supports 480x320 correct?

Kind of like hooking up an external monitor to a laptop. Are the connectors the same? Just thought I'd ask. That would be sweet to hook up a iPhone screen to say a Touch board. Then duct tape them together. . Better yet dual screens! Haha.
nice idea !
cool idea, but you would need to write yourself a driver for the screen, unless WM6 is pornographically plug-n-play.
i've just replaced the lcd screen on my hx4700. they are not the same.
even between differen't ipaqs they are all different screen connectors.
fairly sure with the multitouch hardware it wouldn't be compatible without someone with alot of knowledge of this stuff to create something to make it work.
sorry to be a downer.
what would be a really cool idea though is if someone put iphone-on-ppc apps on their x50/x50v, then painted black over the buttons and labels (the DELL, A X I M, X50/X50V bits),
then added a little extension to the top of it to continue outer the silver edge around the whole screen.
then just add a compact flash card that you insert a sim card and it adds phone capabilities to it (i have such a card),
and you'd practically then have an unlocked iphone with a 3.7" vga screen and graphics accelerator, that is capable of running windows mobile aswell (if you want to).
i.e.
>>>
(note - my mspaint skills suck. it probably wouldn't look as bad in real life.)
Probably you would need the controller for the screen (chip) and other stuff... nice idea but not possible.

Free Anker Astro(5600mAh) external battery! + $50 Entry

I came across this today, and was like wait..." you will win" no catch, no entries, no drawings, simply " you will win".

Seems easy enough, considering the price range of their products...which is like $4+, a USB 3.0 cord would be $6.50 (free s/h amazon prime), pretty easy to review. Or if there's a catch, you could simply buy one of the products on the page, like the vertical mouse for $15, but I doubt it only applies to these items.
Also, since no one has entered it seems. If you buy the $100 family pack, and take a picture with your family, you'll be one of the very few to get a $50 gift card. (I'm not sure if anyone has posted on their Facebook, it's very silent, and their youtube page is dead, I liked all their videos and subscribed, because I was all like...how is one of the top rated companies who sell top rated products have a completely dead unnoticed Youtube channel?)
Anyway....all of their products can be found on:
iAnker.com
Amazon.com
-------------------------------
I personally am a fan, and since I own a product already, it was very easy to make a video review...= free $30 External Charger I believe.

MyKronoz Zephone

so far I've found this thing about ZePhone:
Pros
1. It's not one of those generic Chinese watches, it has it's own designs and builds.
2. I've read somewhere that it's got an update from 4.2 to 4.4. so OEM is actually support this one.
3. It seems mykronoz smart bands and smart watches are not that bad.
4.It has a reliable pedometer sensor.
6. big battery at 500 mah
Cons:
1. There is almost nothing about zephone on the net, even OEM website is so vague about this model.
2. There is no SD card slot and internal memory is just 2.3 GB.
3. It's screen is landscape! I guess it would be better for typing, but I don't know how other apps would look like in landscape mode on such a small resolution.
4. screen seems to be mediocre one. although ht he device itself is more expensive than generic Chinese ones.
5. it's very bulky. with a smaller screen it's bigger than Gear S.
If it's anything like their ZeClock (which I own), it's made in China.
