I have upgraded my BA to WM6 but when I tried to sync, the error prompt keep comes out "insufficient memory" and ask me to reset my BA. However, after reset again and again .. still could not sync.
Any clue ?

how much Active sync Version??
Please Use Active sync 4.5
it is MS ActiveSync 4.5 already.
Another problem is when I switch the BA into serial mode, the activesync could not recongnize the connection and I could not downgrade it back to WM5 .... pls any help ?
1. did you kill the AS processes on PC before cradle the phone?
2 did the serial from the phone screen has change to USB on connect to cradle?
Try disabling the firewalls...
I have the same problem. I check memory on the phone and the phone memory is virtually nil! I have installed everything possible into th e2GB storage card and I think the problem is the size of the mail file. I have my attachments already sent to the storage card but can you also send the mail messages there too? - or get memory memory...??
I think, Your Windows had a proplem. You should install Your Windows

also the are no conflict into the usb device and the cradel is know well by the pc
i suggest if there are no pin connection broken (but i see well no pin broken ) it's a software configuration

I had exactly the same problem about a month ago and after trying everything under the sun and nothing working i eventually ended up doing a hard reset,
It fixed it instantly so i restored all my data from a backup and it stopped working straight after the restore,
i hard reset once again and it synced ok, so i then had to reinstall all my programs individually rather than restoring the backup, it was very annoying but i dont think theres any other way around it

Suddenly i can't install programs tru active sync anymore.
It worked until yesterday i wanna install a program but i didn't apear on my vario.
Try it for some times but it would not work.
Today i want to install another program this would also not install on my vario.
What is the problem?? does anyone know.

Did Activesync stop synching before that ? Or did it crash during some install ? I had this too, my programs list on my wizard went empty, couldnt install/deinstall/synchronise anymore. Reinstall of ActiveSync did not work so I was forced to hard-reset my device in able to work with it again .... thanks ms activesync ...
I have been trying to sincronize my S200 Qtek but it is impossible. I have made several hard and soft resets and tried with three different computers. I have installed 4.1, 4.2 and 4.5 beta versions of ActiveSync, but it is always the same: ActiveSync seems to turn on but no sincronization initialize when I connect my S200 to the USB port.
I have also made a format and reinstall windows XP but I can't syncronize information... please help me!

Did you disable Win XP firewall? You have to disable it or any other firewall that may be installed.
If that solves your problem search MS site for how to authorise ActiveSync for your firewall.
Yes, in fact when I reinstalled windows I didn't install Norton because of the firewall. I have also unactivated windows firewall... but no sincronization occurrs
Maybe you could try another USB Cable? Or try to sync using Bluetooth?

Have you tried to upgrade to the latest activesync right after the installation of windows? (found here)
And perhaps some overactive antivirus programs can bug up syncing too sometimes. Did the installation of new hardware go well after you plug in your device?
When you plug in, did nothing happen or was there a small screen saying it was getting information from the phone? If yes, were you able to setup a connection (guest etc) and after that it didn't want to sync?
Got this issue resolved the fault was some tweaking I did... See, I use fixed IP with my router so I disabled the DHCP client service on services.msc... So activesync could't get the right adress from the prophet... Still don't know how I manage to make that assumption about this problem, but gladly I did

Hi, I've upgraded my XDA with the above ROM and eveything seemed OK for a few days. Now however I am haing a problems. Active sync will not sync with outlook and tells me that "There is not enough free memory on your device to synchronize information.....". When I try to sync with our PDA server (Nokia intellisync) it also tells me it can't as there is not enough memory. However, when I check Start-Setting-System-Memory it tells me I have 17.2Mb Free Storage and 21.5Mb free Program memory.
Anyone any ideas?

Have you tried a soft reset? Also, when you say that the sync with the PDA server is reporting low memory, which end is giving the message (server or Uni?)
Yeah tried a few soft resets. The error is being reported by Activesync and by the PDA server, this is being told this by the device as far as I can see.

I have same problem. I solved problem and now everything work fine. So in first I have to say that problem was in extROM. After my first upgrade from WM2003 to WM5 was everything OK but memory for install new program was about 14 MB so I use Hima doc tool to unhide extROM and merge with ROM to get 16+14MB. Ok but after that I decidet put newer ROM so I flash again and after that problems came. I can't synchronize my device with outlook because : eror 8007000e " There is not enough free memory on your device to synchronize information...." . Problem as I found was in extROM so I use Hima_DOC_Restore_1.0 -just copy into device and run exe file in your ppc - after then HR and synchronization works perfect. After that you can again use HIM doc tool and enlarge ROM.....

And when I start-up there were some problems
A Warning appear that : The file "PhoneService" cannot be opened.Either its is not signed with a trusrted certificate, or one of its component cannot be found, If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.
The sesond one is "sms_alert_fix"

phoneservice was part of eten phone tools and it is not compatible with our phones, and wm6 i think, about sms_alert_fix i have not tryed it and don't know what it does in wm6
The problem with me now is i cannot connect my divice with my PC

I know it's quite silly for me but i cannot hard reset my BA
I have pressed and hold the power button then press the reset button but there's nothing better, the BA just reset but there's no change.
I've downgraded it to Windows Mobile 2003 then upgraded it again to WM6 but all the settings at the first time I installed WM6 and configed are still there.
I also try to uninstall Active Sync and install it a gain too.
My PC use Windows XP, and when i try to connect the BA to another PC that use Windows Vista, it worked. So i think the problem was from my PC.
But now i wanna hard-reset it but i can...oh...i'm getting crazy with this...
