Hi,
Weird problem. All of a sudden, whenever I try to send a new txt msg or email or reply to a txt msg or email, regardless of whether i enter in the number or email manually or from my contacts list, I get a message saying that the number or email cannot be recognized and if I'm sure I want to send the message. I click on Yes, and everything works fine, but how do I get rid of this message?
Is this something people know about? What could be causing this?

is there a way to stop my emails coming in as sms text messages...
it only happens with some of my emails when i retreive my emails...
and I definetly do not want to pay for them....

Are you on tmobile? If so you have to logon to my-tmobile and change the notification settings to not send you an sms.

Maybe: within "pocket msn" options, page sms: uncheck sms-delivery.
it was tmobile alert... i unchecked it...
thats also why it was trying to download 120 messages that were not in my inbox .... damn thing
but... now problem solved
I have this same problem with Cingular blue. My mmode emails are coming in as sms's and i cant reply becasue of it. any ideas?

Somehow I just cannot send Text (SMS) from my HTC cell.
I have configured the Web GPRS setting & the internet works, I can send MMS messages but cannot send SMS msgs. Though I can receive SMS msgs sent to me. Wierd uh..... I inserted my SIM card into another phone & I can send & receive msgs. So I know it has to do with some setting on my new HTC cell.
Can someone please shed some light on this

go to phone ,options ,services,select voicemail and text services,hit get settings...,infront of text messages service center u should c :
+1(514)993-1123 then hit ok

i did same thing but when i press Get Setting an error camout saying:
Cannot readsetting from the network.try view setting later,or disconnect data connection and try again.
retry cancel
I pressed retry many time but no way ,still coudnt send sms.
is there any manual setting we can do?????

when i try to send sms a message comput saying:
your text message cannot be sent.be certain that your service center address is correct
in settings and then try sending the message again.
any idea guys
I think it could be in some file or registry. Because wm's creators missed this option in GUI.
I have the same problem like guys above.
Maybe someone know where is this log to edit it manually. I mean SMS Service Center...

I am trying to get my TouchPro to send SMS instead of MMS. I have the phone 514 number for text message settings. I don't want to send a text and ppl who received it gets it like a MMS.

Then a underlined red link appears in the text window that says "Message was not sent, try again?". When I click it, it tries to send, but with the same results. Has anyone seen this? Same problem wiht HD I got from UK and use in Israel. Can't send SMS
Blackstone. Can't send SMS but still can receive.
I checked setting, checked with carrier (I use cellcom) everything seems to be fine, just does not send and it was fine couple days ago.

I got my MDA yesterday and its pretty confusing for me. I can't get text messages to work for the life of me. I can receive them perfectly fine, but alas, I can not send any. I'm always met with a "Cannot Send Text Message" error pop-up, and its starting to annoy me. I was only able to send a text message twice. Once when I first charged the phone and tried to send a message for the first time, and once after I did a soft reset. It let me send one message, but not anymore.
What the heck do I do?
I've had a problem sending SMS messages to one (and only one) of my contacts. Unfortunately it is the contact I text the most, so it's a real pain.
When I first set up the phone, it synced all the contacts from gmail and facebook.
Unfortunately this particular contact had their number on Facebook as ++44 (0) 7123 123456, which my phone stored as +4407123 123456 (which is incorrect as when you have the international "+44" you need to get rid of the 0).
I changed it manually on the phone to +447123123456, and my friend changed it on Facebook.
Now I can compose new texts to this person and they send ok, but whenever I reply in the conversation thread my message fails to send.
When I check the message details on the failed message it says "To: +4407123123456", with the rogue zero back in place, even though I can't find that zero anywhere in the contact entry.
I've tried deleting the whole conversation thread, but that hasn't helped. This problem happens in the stock SMS app and also in Handcent.
Any ideas how I can fix this? The incorrect number must be stored somewhere, but I can't find it
