WM2005 boot Splash Screen

Hello Guys,
I tried about everything, but i cannot get the windows 2005 splashscreens installed. I tried the file from buzz, the one in the "all download links" topic, and even the old cab file. Do i need to do a hard reset to get it done? I have the feeling i am missing something here...
i did it ones before when i had 2003, and therefore i now have windows 200SE splashscreens, very nice, but i prefer the 2005 ones now. Because i am running 2005

I had the same problem.
I downgrade my Qtek2020 with win2003SE with a customized extended rom (2005 bootscreen).
And i re-upgrade it with win2005.
Now i have a nice boot screen and the most important, now the cab for changing bootscreen are working... Just need a soft reset to see the screen.
It's radical method, but it work.... and take time (more than 1h)

So there is a way to solve this problem. I hope there is a more
less dramatic way to get this problem solved

try to unlock and unhid the extROM.
reboot and then install the bootsplash cab.
reboot again...

How about us under 1.60c.00WWE with PS and 30.53 Storage 120.32 Program memory configuration?
There is no Extended_ROM partition... :?
EDIT:
Never mind... I ran the Extended ROM unlocker anyways and even though it does not show the Extended partition it allows the bootscreens to install just fine.

Problem: Storage is write protected!!

hello all..i just got my i-mate PDA2
I tried to view the Extended ROM via PDA2k Ext.ROM Viewer..
but it didn't work after the soft reset and the Extended ROM not viewed..
but my Storage now is a ROM, write protected and i can't use it!!!
any suggestions??

TomTom - HTC Wizard

Hi all,
I hope someone can help me out.
I can't get TT5 to work on my HTC Wizard.
I have the latest iMate rom installed.
I know about the problems with WM5.0
I tried everything I found here on the site.
Copied the cab files to the SD card and install them from the device.
One file dont want to install, I tried to install GPS.cab first than restart without sd card and then install the rest but still the file wont install.
I tried to hardreset my device for 2 times now but I cant get it to work.
I'm pretty much hopeless....
I hope someone can give me the solution.

I finally got it working after 5 hours of playing around

I like my wizard bar the tomtom irritation.
I have a kosher version of tomtom navigator.
I downloaded the update with happiness, install it works quite happily through the config.. Up and till you get to select the voices, then a total lack of say nothing. I end up soft resetting, I am trying not to despair, so using my exec on whichh it works. Please help, I tried with my original t mobile rom, no joy, changed to k jam rom still no happiness. I have done numerous resets and updates. More hacks and oh some more.

I had to manually install the voice file for my TomTom.
TomTom has a flaw, it (for me) put the file in the wrong folder.
Here is how my Folder-tree looks likes.
\TomTom\
\TomTom\go1108m.wav
\TomTom\tttoday.bmp
\TomTom\tttoday.dll
\TomTom\tttodayvga.bmp
\TomTom\TomTom\
\TomTom\TomTom\data15.chk <-- this is my voice file.
As you can see, i had to put it in \TomTom\TomTom where TomTom installs it in the \TomTom\ folder.

Copy to your device and run. Soft reset and when you go into files on your device, you should see the conrents of the extrom revealed, asuming it works like on the Atom. Good luck

Need help, possible made a brick of my Wizard

Hi, pleas if someone know, help me.
Made downgrade of my Qtec9100 right due to instructions of Dr Puttingham. Got G3. All was great but, by mistake I started flashing radio first. (radio rom 3.02.11) But something went wrong.
Wizard do not want comunicate with PC. Made hard reset, but not work.
Still see big beer and greetings from Button. IPL 1.01 and SPL 1.01 and OS 1.5.4.2 - after 5 times reseting it will start WM5. Phone is off.
Please help. Is there som cab which can help me?? I still can write some programs to the storage card. Can I flash it back to radio 1.01 ? from card? And then may start work USB....
Please help me.

don't worry. i have nearly the same problem with my g4.
bootloader start, but flashing anything didn't let the phone starts.
i think our phones are too old, so the cracks don'T read the threads here.
my posting in g4-section is also didn't answered.
the ftp-section is empty.
if noone can help me the next days, i will buy another one from ebay.

my wizard is working but can't use USB connection. maybe there is sam cab program which can make changes and set USB to work.
