Hi,
I understand that Magician is using MS Bluetooth Stack that is enhanced to support BT version 1.2 and it supports Sandisk Combo Wifi (with 256RAM).
If that's true, can someone help me by posting the zipped file of the /Window folder files (please unhide and include the system DLL files).
I am willing to test and see if we can have improved functionalities for Himalaya_SE and Magician.
Many thanks.
EDITED: I've got a copy of the registry. Thanks.

I am working on a WM5 version of the popular VGA hack OzVGA. I have all the registry settings I need but am missing some files from a QVGA installation of WM5. A member of the Himalaya forum provided me with his 96dpi DLLs but they appear to be incomplete and/or buggy.
Would it be possible for someone to rip and e-mail me the following files form your Wizard?
browsres.96.dll
coreres.96.dll
exappres.96.dll
instmsgrresources.96.dll
miscres.96.dll
msim.96.dll
officeres.96.dll
outres.96.dll
pegcards.96.dll
pmsnresources.96.dll
pptres.96.dll
riresdll.96.dll

tapres.96.dll
trares0409.96.dll
tshres.96.dll
Thanks in advance.
i will rip them for you if you tell me how i can do it?, as it will not let me just copy the files to my pc?
SURE
YES
I'LL DO THE SAME, JUST TELL ME HOW TO DO IT,,,
Not having a Wizard I don't know how you would do it. I'm guessing you would need to download the rom from your device and then rip the files using the correct offsets.
Need someone more knowledgeable than me to advise on how to do it.
hi
this might help.....
awhile back i was messing with my jasjar and wanted to copy some files from windows directory ...after trying i found renaming them and then copying them worked for most files
like browsres.96.dll could be renamed to browsre2.96.dll orbrowsres.96.dll2 ...
try and let us know
TIA
Hey Guys,
Do you know if anyone has defined what each of the files are in the Extended ROM for the T-Mo Vario? And if so could you point me in the direction.
Thanks,
Alex
You can extract cab files by yourself and look what each of them contains. For extracting cabinet you can use for exapmle Wince cab manager app.
I think the poster means not just file names but what they can do... I can access the ROM but only guess what each one does.
The read me just gives the file names and thats it.
Terran
PS I'm intrested too
i didn't mean to guess what cab does according to its name, but to extract files from each cabinet and look on them.
Most of them includes only some settings to the device's registries.
For example, CAB-Customization-TMCZ-Wizard-01-04-03Oct05 includes 4 files:
CeSettup.dll
CheckFiles.exe
Customize.lst
Platformxxx.reg
By looking into the Platformxxx.reg you can easily see this cab sets MMS and GPRS..
Thanks for the input. Although I believe there is probably some uneeded files in there, my device has been running smoothly, so I will probably just let it be until I hear otherwise.
Cheers
This request is a little unusual, but I'm wondering if there are any Hermes users that can help me find a file and post it up.
If you're using Cyberon Voice Commander 1.6 and have bluetooth working with it, please look in the registry in:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway\BTAGExtModule
I'm using a Prophet, and the file it uses is OEMAGW.dll. As far as I can tell, this file controls/launches the voice dialer software. I'm hoping the file that comes with the Hermes will make the Prophet's version of CVC 1.6 work correctly with Bluetooth.
The file should be located in the Windows folder, but it might be hidden so File Explorer might not find it.
Please help! Thanks a bunch!
I am seeking some wisdom on the subject of Pocket PC ROM files...
The purpose of my enquiry is to ask if anyone would know how one might be able to extract a ROM image from a Pocket PC in such a way as to preserve the file structure and make it possible to extract (copy) specific files that normally sit in the \windows directory but are read only and unable to be copied from the PPC. An ideal would be to be able to read the ROM and write the file structure onto either an SD/CF card or simply to the flash RAM in the device itself.
The reason I am trying to do this is to extract either just the codec or if necessary the .exe and .dlls needed to be able to run Windows Media Player 10 Mobile on my Toshiba e830. This would enable playing .wma Lossless audio files - better than the Variable Bit Rate capability of the WMP9 codec.
I have an iPaq hx4700 which had WM10 mobile included in its original SE build and also the WM5 upgrade image that has since been installed on this device as a suitable source. I have looked through the WM5 ROM in a hex editor (UltraEdit-32) but cannot identify which parts of the code are relevant.
Through browsing the threads on this forum I have found and tried various of the Grab-It tools. I hoped that maybe it would be possible to find / extract the WMP10 hex from the WM5 ROM Image and transplant into an image of the e830 saved with Grab-It. Unfortunately I simply get repeated error messages >> Cannot create file! <<when trying to run Grab-It - I have tried (all) of the versions on both the hx4700 (with WM5) and the e830 (WM2003SE) with the same results.
Any suggestions you have as to how this could be accomplished would be greatly appreciated !
Best Regards,
Kevin
Hello,
I want try something. Get a better sound with a bluetooth carkit with my TyTN II.
Therefor I want to copy the OEMAGW.dll in the \Windows\ directory of my Qtek S200 to my HTC TyTN II. But I couldn't copy the files. I've tried with Total Commander. Properties -> unchecked everything (for example hidden file).
Could soemone help me get thse files out the directory and replace it.
When this has been done I'll do some tests and ofcourse I'll wrote them done here!
Thanx in forward.
There are two things you should know:
1) Most files you see in windows directory are part of ROM and can not be copied out. If you want them you need to dump and unpack the ROM.
(See WiKi for details)
2) Usually taking hardware related DLLs from one device and putting it on a different device will only cause it to malfunction.
