Oracle Application Express (APEX)

Navigating back to Classic report makes it refresh, how do I stop that?

I'm pretty confident that this has already been answered and I have tried wording my question several different ways but can't find the answer, so my apologies. I am on Apex 4.2 and I have classic report that is a pl/sql function returning a query. I have items in this report that are links to child records. The child report is on a different page and is also a classic report. Both the parent report and child report have lots rows with pagination. What I want to happen:Parent report to run at the time they press submit from search criteria. This worksClick on the linked column value to see the child records. This worksClick on the button to return me to my parent search results. This worksHowever, the report is rerunning at that point. It does take me to the correct pagination page where I left off, but it is rerunning the report. I tried just a simple javascript back but the child record screen has pagination so it only works from page one of the child record.I want to click on the Return button at the bottom of the child record region and have it take me right back to where I left off in the parent record without rerunning the report.Any ideas? I tried caching but for some reason it really slowed down the navigation to the next page (pagination) in the parent record. Thanks so much!!
Instead of opening the child report in the same window you could open it up in a popup and close it when they're done.  You could also implement a modal window:APEX 4.2. - SkillBuilders Modal Page plugin. not WorkingHope this helps
