Oracle Application Express (APEX)

Upgrade apex 4.2 to 5.03 - refused connection when try to connect remotely

Dear All,As a newbie i'm playing with Apex. The goal is to build experience to upgrade the BI level of my organisation by upgrading from excel / access solutions to oracle apex.We installed Oracle 11g and Apex 4.3 on a windows 7 machine and played with it for a couple of month.A few weeks ago we upgraded apex to release 5.03. But now we run into the following issue:- on the local host we are able to connect to apex by the url:  -= so far so good.- on a remote host we try to connect to we got the message " refused to connect".Before upgrading we had no issue. Both the server and the client firewall are off. Except the upgrade of apex the configuration of the server is not changed. I need a hind where to look.  Thanks,Stephan
Hi svdijk I think the problem is with firewall.networking - What causes the 'Connection Refused' message? - Server Fault RegardsMahmoud
Dear Mahmoud, Thanks for the prompt response. My first thought was in the direction of the firewall. We deactivated the firewall, but the issue remains.Even on the server self we are only able to connect to apex by IF we use the ip adres of the lan adapter, we get the response 'connection refused'.  Regards,Stephan
The problem is solved. The http listener was listening on only the local host after the upgrade. To enable the listner on all interfaces i used:exec DBMS_XDB.SETLISTENERLOCALACCESS (FALSE); Thanks for your support
Hi Stephan I am glad that your problem was solved. Please mark the Correct/Helpful answers to close the thread as Answered to help others with the same issues. RegardsMahmoud
