Progressively loading multiple taskflows
Hi All, i did refer the below post and did try progressively loading a set of taskflows ( multitask flow ) in my page. Rather than loading everything at once i am loading them based on priority. http://www.ateam-oracle.com/improving-adf-page-rendering-time/ I have 2 taskflows t1 and t2. In Page i have the taskflow's loading one after the other using the approach mentioned in the above link. Now once the first taskflow t1 is loaded it allows me to do operations on the page until the second taskflow t2 starts loading. Once the taskflow t2 starts loading it makes the screen busy ( busy icon ) again. And i am again not allowed to do any operations. Once the t2 is completed loading it again allows me to go ahead with any operation on the page. Did anyone face this issue? Can anyone let me know how to get rid of the busy icon when individual taskflows ( regions ) are loading on a page. Right now its blocking the complete screen.
I believe the approach mentioned in blog is suitable for those sites where user need not to take action much. For example a news site where other area can load while I am busy in reading news. If you have to fill a form, this approach might not be good as its dependent on poll component and polling is done a client side. Poll component will fire automatic server request. Untill server responds back, client is busy. One solution could be hiding task-flow, which are not required. For example using accordian, panelTab etc. You can mark task-flow activation as activation="deferred" in consumer page's pageDef. This will start your task-flow only when its actually visible. ThanksSanjeev.
