N910F Gyroscope Not Working with GCardboard after Flashing Cooked ROMs - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everybody.
I have a N910F with stock marshmallow 6.0.1 Rom, everything work well but some app are not available for this Android release
and stock firmware is full of useless bloatware so I rooted the phone, injected with odin TWRP twrp-3.5.0_9-0-trlte.img and installed many different coocked ROMS, I tried:
Lineage OS 18, 17, 16
Aosp
Cr Droid
Havoc
Resurrection ReMix
and many others
I also installed OpenGapps, usually nano version, but also tried more complete versions
But.. I keep having the same problem:
Gyroscopes on Google CardBoard app are working on stock rom
but never work on cooked rom and do not work in any app related to Google Carboard (i.e. 3D games or 3D video players).
If I flash back the stock ROM gyros and Google CardBoard work again.
I tried many different ROM so I think this issue is relevant to something I do (or do not do) during flashing process.
Does anyone have a clue?
Can you help me please?
Thanks a lot

N9005 Lollipop roms video playback issue

I rooted my N9005 yesterday and have tried a number of roms, such as the roms taken from Note 5 / S6 Edge (Norma, DarkLord roms 5.0 and 5.1). I've also just tried a custom rom taken from official Note 3 Lollipop firmware.
All have the following issue : Netflix will not play any video - it keeps saying loading. BBC I player's video is choppy and out of sync. Youtubes 720p 60fps pauses frequently and 1080p 60fps freezes the video completely (not audio).
I've flashed back a KitKat custom rom and the video problems are gone.
Any suggestions on what might be wrong. I'm guessing it makes no difference but it's a Vodafone Australia handset that I'm using in the UK with EE (using the UK country code when installing rom).
Did you flash the Lollipop ROM freshly? I mean after a complete wipe?
I've used Team Win Recovery Project and each time completely wiped the phone each time. The Kitkat rom I used without problem was the Alliance rom. I am just about to try and flash a Lollipop 5.0 rom from Alliance - not sure if the same problem will be there.
[edit] Exactly the same issue using the Alliance 5.0 rom... choppy iPlayer not in sync, and continuously loading on Netflix.
I'll put it back to Alliance rom for 4.4 for now. Can't live without Netflix!
Other things I've tried:
Installing the 5.0/5.1 roms using CWM rather than TWRP doesn't solve the video issue. (CWM Aroma Installer fails to start, so been using TWRP on roms that use Aroma).
Neither does clearing caches through recovery.
Neither does enabling/disabling NU player/Awesome Player in developer settings.
On Alliance 5.0 rom I found liboemcrypto.so in system/vendor/lib, deleted it, cleared cache in recovery/rebooted, no difference.
On DarkLord N5 rom I deleted liboemcrypto.so.bak I think it was called, which I found in system/vendor/lib/ (which i think is the backup file).. liboemcrypto.so wasn't there to delete in the DarkLoard N5 rom and there was no file in system/lib like that. It didn't make a difference.
Could it have anything to do with it being an Australian handset, anything to do with the modem or some video kodex/player thing not getting updated/flashed properly. I'm just making stuff up now.

Any ROM compatible with 3.5.6 firmware ?

I've been for a long time on CyanogenMod but I've decided to take a fresh start and reinstall OOS, I used to be on the 3.0.1 firmware and everything was working great. But OOS is buggy and I used to get better battery life on custom ROMs sooo yeah. I've never tried lineage os but I think that it still runs on the older firmware, do you know ROMs working on the latest firmware ? Thanks !
Almost all roms. Exept you may find one where VoLTE is not working.
No roms run on the newer firmware as oneplus sources are from 3.0.x.
Until nougat is released we will not see updated sources.

Any rom for 8.1 or earlier with included Gapps??

Hello folks,
Since most roms come with Gapps separately, I have a problem trying to use the Dual Boot Patcher, because when use it, can´t install roms on tradictional way, no boots, so have to decide between a rom with included Gapps (have just found two 9 pie that works), or without Gapps.
I´m trying to get a Rom 8.1 android version or earlier because I feel the Pie feels more heavy to run app I need, while 8.1 seems smooth. But I should like to get it with gapps to avoid being restarting the phone all the time. So,
Anyone know a rom for I9505 android 8.1 version or earlier with included Gapps? or
does anyone have experience with the dual boot patcher app installed a Rom+gapps? If I do (even patching all ok) if install Gaps doesnt boot, so I guess may there is a folder name difference or something I´m missing..
thank you in advance.
Why do you need the dual boot patcher thingy?
Much simpler and safer to TWRP and single ROM install.
No problem installing GAPPS, no stability issues with phone restarts. Too easy.
One solution is to go down to the kitchen section of the forum and learn how to slipstream the gaps into the rom.
Hi, have you tried LOS 17.1 by JDC team ? It is awesome and Dark mode brings so much battery life.

Has anyone managed to get any custom ROM to work on a SM-A405FN/DS ?

Hello !
Has anyone actually managed to get any custom ROM to work on a Samsung Galaxy A40 SM-A405FN/DS ?
Mine is currently running the current latest stock ROM (SM-A405FN_2_20211030045838_jg43vcqbiw_fac) downloaded with Frija and I managed to install TWRP from here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/recovery-a40-teamwinrecoveryproject-3-6-x-unofficial.4364575/
However, ANY custom ROM that I try to install :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/a11-r-arm64-a40-lineageos-18-1-unofficial-by-kevios12.4335409/
https://sourceforge.net/projects/eurekaroms/files/Samsung/A40/R/lineage/
GSI
maybe others that I forgot
will either bootloop or end up with a black screen.
Looking at the following threads, I'm starting to wonder if the SM-A405FN/DS is custom-ROM-compatible at all ?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/help-my-a405fn-wont-boot-any-custom-rom.4337041/
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/samsung-a40-black-screen.4354421/

Im running CrDroid 7.13 without any issues with root and gapps. Many custom roms bootloop because of your newer firmware with Bit/SW REV.
Security Patch Lvl. being 4 and those custom rom were built on the older firmware with probably patch level 3. I had installed DotOS fan edition fully working like a year ago, then I tried some new custom roms, which somehow broke my system so the system couldnt start up even after reflashing original boot image, so I reflashed to the newest firmware which was working, then I tried flashing older one and it wouldnt boot, it just shows black screen with error bit/sw 3 boot 4. So you have to flah roms, whose are built on the newer bit level to boot up, the best is CrDroid and now the newest ALT-F4 version 0.0.3 from this forum: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-oneui-3-1-a40-alt-f4-v0-0-1-updated-2021-12-18.4373813/
I tried it myself and it is the best for this phone, it is fully debloated and pre-rooted stock rom. I also tried CrDroid 8x, everything works for me, but it fells slow and the ram is almost maxed out. I also recommend upgrading to this TWRP: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/recovery-official-twrp-for-galaxy-a40-a405fn.4025587/
The unofficial twrps had some bugs for me. I hope this helps and happy flashing!
THANK YOU for your comprehensive reply !! I'll give ALT-F4 a try as soon as I can !

Good luck!
Well, luck has not been enough: after updating TWRP to the official version, I tried yesterday to install ALT-F4 0.0.3 but got the exact same result: black screen, need to reflash the stock ROM to make it boot (even to recovery !!) again.
Would you have any other idea ?
EDIT:
I actually tried crDroid in the past, to no avail either.
