Overall speed - OnePlus 7 Pro Real Life Review

Would you say that the OnePlus 7 Pro is "fast" in day-to-day use? A higher rating indicates that you think the OnePlus 7 Pro exhibits fantastic performance. Like, is it as fast as your tears when you watch The Titanic?
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

Like the titanic took long too sink!!maybe cause its new??..not sure, hoping to win one anyway, but not even this or the new sony x1 (if i dare say)can compare 2 my xa 1 ultra

Never saw the Titanic. But right now my S10 Plus is faster than a speeding bullet! Cheers

Fan boy

Nah, it's 375000

How is the frametime (Profile GPU Rendering) for this phone? Has it approached Pixel-levels?

In simple words I can say that it is 'Beast'.

Fastest phone ever!

It is really fast! Anyway, I managed to make it struggle with opening 10 tabs in xda forum with Firefox (nothing massive, just I noticed it lagging for less than a sec on the last tabs )

Yes its the fastest and smoothest phone I ever used. Unless someone is doing a 120 Hz display with a even better software I cant see anyone coming up to this level.

coming from my pixel 2xl...just day to day use i didn't notice a big significant difference..
i noticed it when i connected it to my car and android auto worked so smooth compared to my pixel 2xl
i'm enjoying this phone

I would say it is sickly fast, and I have mine in at&t and my data speeds are in the 100+ range.
First test was with the 7 pro, the rest are all with my pixel 2xl.

I havent seen anyone writing , what is the file transfer speed? any comparison?

The BEAST is fast as phuk I'm loving it

60hz not very smooth
Someone noticed that at 60 hz this phone is not as smooth as other 60hz devices? My old OP6 Is more fluid than the 7 pro during 60hz gaming, pull down the notification or in general on 60hz it'very laggy

Easily one of the fastest Android experiences I've had. Great for the price.

Coming from Xiaomi Mi 8, and I can say this is a beast phablet. I am not much entitled to play mobile games nor benchmark geek, but I like it very much to read e-book in this phone.

They have solved the calling issue as well.

Talk band makes even more sense now, in light of the x2.
Nice one,
I have preordered mediapad x2 and talkband b2 for the following reasons:
1. I need dual-SIM since I travel abroad very often.
2. I would like to read PDFs and watch movies when I'm in a train and 7" fits the requirement very well.
3. Keep minimum devices on the way.
4. Don't want to keep a phone in hands when talking.
So my mate 7 will go to my wife, though she has honor 6
And now I can put my kindle DX into my home museum

Good enough, with normal usage I can do 12 hours with 100% of charge.
2 hours YouTube
Checking social media now and then. (Every 20minutes)
And checking time (10-20 times a day)
With my old Microsoft Lumia 640 XL I have days in a row. with the p20 lite just 1 day. sad but true

Hallo hallo
You are comparing a Windows Phone with an Android XD
Not joking but they are 2 completely different Operating Systems, while Windows Phone OS is so much better in performance and will probably always be since Android is in Emulation forever on Linux... YIKES. Right now the Windows Phone OS lost too many apps, but for me will be best overall OS on a phone ever. With 1GB or 2GB of RAM and a Quad Core CPU and it has outstanding performance comparing to a 6GB of RAM and an Octa Core CPU smartphone(any) running Android LOLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!
This will always be the truth. IOS is the second one right now btw.
I also love Sailfish OS but I haven't really tested a device with it yet
I got 6h sot and still had 20% battery. Mostly watching youtube videos, searching the web, stuff like that. I think it ended up at 6h and 30min when I was about 13-14% and put it to charge.
You can compare them as phones... without OS. Is true Microsoft is far better as power management but they pulled out from the market. The 640XL was serious outdated. Also I had problems with apps like .. the one I use for my electric toothbrush Oral-B 9000 Genius, No app from my bank to use the NFC payment and so on.
I give up though not because the apps... but because the low RAM 1Gb compared with 4Gb...
If I can find a nice 950 XL I have no seconds thoughts, I buy it!
These results come after heavy use of the P20 Lite. Mostly YouTube, Mobile Games(resource intensive) and Music Streaming.

It was light use except like the last hour but still, I could get like 5-5:30 hours SOT with Huawei P20 Lite, using it normally.

Overall love

Yes, yes, it's possible to love a phone. Heck, you sleep next to it, don't you? Rate this thread to indicate your love for the Moto G7 Power, all things considered. A higher rating indicates that the Moto G7 Power is an incredible phone that you enjoy tremendously. You love it.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
I've only had my G7 Power for a couple of days now but I'm pretty happy with it so far. I'm coming from a Note 4 -> OnePlus 5 ->Note 4 (OP5 screen died). The lack of screen resolution hasn't bothered me much yet. I'm really a fan of the screen size, though. I miss the larger phablet form factor. I really needed the longer battery life because of my job(s). I bought a thick, tough-ish case for it already.
The only other phone that I've been considering since my OP5 died is whatever they come out with for the OP7 since I really like the idea of the under-screen fingerprint sensor since there are very few front-facing sensors these days. I don't really dig the location of the sensor on this phone. But overall, this is a great phone for what would probably be half the cost of what the OP7 will most likely cost.
I enjoy having the latest Android version on it. The fluidity from having a near stock Android experience is unparalleled.
The only feature that it's really missing is the NFC sensor. But I'm not majorly bothered by it because I almost never used Android Pay.
Given how budget friendly this phone is but having some common modern smartphone features, I rate it 7.5/10. It's not for everybody, though. It's really only for people that value battery life over most other phone features
I'm coming from an LG V30. I bought the G7 Power for two reasons:. Superior battery and LTE band 71.
I am pleasantly surprised how nice the display is. Reading reviews you'd think it has a blurry and grainy screen. Honestly though, the screen is perfectly fine. Brightness is phenomenal and clarity is solid.
Battery life is the best you will find and having dual SIM capability and and an sdcard compensates for only 32GB of internal storage.
The size and shape of the phone makes for easy usage and the phone never seems excessively large.
The OS runs smoothly, no stuttering or lag is noticeable.
It's just a really solid phone, that combined with it's price makes it an unbelievable bargain.
The only people that should not consider this phone are hardcore gamers.

How's the camera? I have a Moto E5 Plus, considering switching to Metro for the G7 Power. Only thing I really don't like about my E5 Plus is the camera and it seems like it's the same one in the G7 Power. It's not terrible, you just have to have a ton of light and be close up to something.
Three pics, three separate camera apps:
GC - GCamera
SC - Stock Camera
OC - Open Camera
Overcast skies, no direct sun, early am.
I'd break it down better, but I'm turkey hunting right now.

How do you peeps like your RN7? Amazon says it's 8oz which doesn't make sense

Hey guys,
I have the Mate 9 which doesn't seem to be getting any support so I might has well jump to a device that is getting updates and on PIE etc.. How is the camera, battery life(I get almost days ish). I'm thinking about the Moto G7 also. If you guys could buy any similar phone what else is good around this price?
I can't say much right now about my Note 7 since I have it only for 2 days (as of writing this) & wasn't able to deplete the battery yet. For a comparison to my Galaxy S5, it definitely runs A LOT smoother & faster, even on MIUI which, as we know, isn't the lightest. The camera definitely takes good pictures, but one thing that bugs me is no support for 4k video recording... Even my damn S5 has that & it's from 2014 I've bought my Note 7 in the 4/128 variant so I definitely have quite some room to spare on both fronts & it shows. Can keep more than 2 apps at a time suspended in RAM as opposed to my S5, where it wanted to kill itself when one app was bigger (like a game for example). I can't complain much about the Note 7, it's definitely a solid phone for the price (especially in the best variant), but one thing I kind of miss when compared to the S5 is the lack of an AMOLED screen. Yes, black colours look great, but they aren't as deep as on the other phone + you get that typical IPS silver glow on the screen, which is really noticable especially at night when looking at something with black backgrounds. To be honest, I would recommend the Note 7 over the phone you have, it will definitely make you happy (as it did for me, really love it) & you will also receive OS update for quite some time
If it's anything like or better then my note 5 then I will love it
I've only just ordered mine and it hasn't been delivered just yet but when it does get here I will let you know
Moto G7 is garbage compared to a Redmi Note 7.
Less battery, less perfomance, less camera.
The only things it has better are slightly better water resistance and band frequency support.
Now about the Redmi Note 7:
Camera is pretty good, i use stock camera to get daylight photos and Gcam for night shots because stock cam night mode is awful.
As for battery i get about 9-10hrs os SOT with a balanced use(1-2hrs of gaming and 4-5hrs of video streaming).

Yeha, I wanted to see how much SOT I can squeeze out after the very first full charge (had the phone for 4 days now) & I'm amazed. My previous phone was getting only 3,5h SOT consistently
In this price I think RN7 is the champ, my kenzo died the other day so I have to buy a new one, and I pick this one. I charge the phone once every four days but I'm not a heavy user. I don't use the camera so I can't give an opinion over it. Also it runs perfectly DS games, the only kind of gaming I did. Rom wise I'm over MIUI.eu and works pretty nice, no custom kernel or anything only magisk and a few modules. Overall is a very nice phone for that money.
I really like mine. Great battery, very good camera, all the speed I need since the only games I play are puzzle style. Screen is good too. Supports the LTE Bands that I need. All for a really low price.
The worst MIUI issues are solved by using a better launcher.
I liked it so much I bought one for my wife as well.
Thanks everyone. I made the mistake of buying my friends OnePlus 6t but I got a good price. The screen is always dimmer than my mate 9 and the headphone sound quality doesn't compare to my mate 9. Maybe I'll order the note 7 so I can compare all 3. I don't like that the oneplus doesn't have a headphone jack anymore. I wish I knew someone near me I could see their note 7.

Such headphones are not meant for this phone. Try lower impedance ones and it should be fine!
I use iphone earbuds so those should be low impedance right?

Low light

At the club, at the bar, or just in your mom's basement, nighttime is when you come out to play. Rate this thread to express how the Xiaomi Mi 10T / 10T Pro's camera performs when no or low light is present. A higher rating indicates that the camera sensor "sees" lots of light in dim conditions, and that the resulting photos have minimal noise. A higher rating also indicates that when the flash fires, the resulting photo is evenly-lit without any bright spots.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

I agree only that it can't outperform S20Ultra - only to match sometimes. It has been proven that for Mi Note 10/ Mi 10 Pro there is better processing than S20 Ultra looking at the details. Even 9 to 1 bining does not work that good with this gen. But the margin is so small and noticable only in pixel peeping. Xiaomi's native cam night mode is very bad from Mi Note 10 and Mi 10 - I see that with this model 10T Pro they improved a little. Hope this will be fixed with updates in future.
For Note10+ I would not compare these much - yes for resolution like 'instagram' it would match looking at small scale, but at even slightly zoomed in (especialy in PC) it really outperforms Note10+ at everywhere - this is for night mode (gcam used on xiaomi). At day time yes, Note 10 series processing is great, only it lacks looking inspection at details. But for most uses the rendering on samsung is way aheat comparing to native xiaomi app (not gcam).

I doubt it is better than S20 Ultra.
I am not so impressed by this camera, when I take pictures of the letters on a Fanta can the letters are not sharp but with my Mi Mix 2S it is sharp.
I haven't tried to take pictures outside in daylight yet.

If gcam works on your note 10+, so its SD 855 processor?
In that case I would wait for next gen, Note10+ overall offers better experience.
